i report te the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity for the year to 31st December 2024 which are set out on pages 4 fo 7
Respective responsibilities of rustees and examiner - As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the prenaration of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act
i report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Aci and in carrying out my exarnination, {| have followed all the apolicable Directions given by the Charnty Commission under section 145/5(b} of the Act
Basis of examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting recoris kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. it also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the frusiees concerning any such matters. Sructure, governance and management
The governing document of the charity is its constitution adopted on 28th November 2021.1389 amended The trusieeson in ar e 16ththe members March 2004 of the the Executive 20 March Cammittes, 2018 and on elected the 27thby July the membership at Annual General Meetings (or occasionally co-opted). The charity is aifitated io the Third Age Trust (charity no. 288007), the national co- coordinating body Objectives and activities, achievements and performance u3a Bromley is devoted to lifelong learning for the public benefit, providing opportunities for these mo longer in full-ime employment to share skis and interests by learning together. Those activities are enjoyed by a combination of “open” groups. which ail memberslimited by reasonsmay aliend,of space,and “study”manygroupsof theseinbeingwhichheidnumbersin theparlicipatinghomes of groupwillgenerallyleaders orbe other group members. There are currently over 75 such groups. covering a wide range of intellectual pursuits, visits to places of interest, physicaland artistic activities, etc.
Simonihly newsletiers are sent to ali members. reposting on the group's activities and coniaining other lems of interest. The invested funds detailed in the annual accounts are held as @ reserve to guarantee the on-going provision of the public benefitsecured by the

Treasurer's Report
Our main sources of funds this year have been membership fees. contributions towards the cost of room hire (May to December) and Gift aid tax refund, which was £3,598 The funds are used fo pay for the Canfiation Fees to the Third Age Trusifor all members, to rent accommodation for group meetings, to finence the printing of newsletters and an interest group booxiel and the postage of thesetomembers and to pay the National Office for the postage of the National Newsietierto all members who have optedto receive it. sufficientAt ine endsumsof thetoyearenablethe ula# to meelhad reservesits ongoingof £expenditures.15.620, uGa’s policyThe monieson reservesavailableis ft o holdu3a is conskiored adequatebut not excessive and will be usedas its working capital. uSa will however monitor is reserves when selfing fs annual subscription to ensure that they do not increase unnecessarily. The Trusiees have retained the Membership fee at £20 pa. for 2025

4} Groups meeting in private houses etc
Many groups meet in private locations where they may be asked to contribute towards the costs of refreshments and similar expenses. The Trustees consider that the cost of collecting this information for inclusion in the accounts outweighs the benefits that would accrue to the members.
