**Objects:** TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN OR AFFECTING THE AREA OF BENEFIT. TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, NATURAL HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT. TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTIONC DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.

**Activities:** The Society organises events and activities to promote a good image of Thetford, to act as a pressure group when necessary on a non-politcal basis, to draw together those with a concern for the quality of services in Thetford and to encourage initiatives to benefit local residents.  The Society holds monthly meetimgs of local interest and produces a quarterly newsletter and an annual magazine
