ncws of God's inclusive love. For over four decades, we have been celcbr2ting God's
love foi all people. and in particulat addressing the needs of the ksbiaffj gay, bisexuaL
and transgender + (LGB'I'+) community.

Inclusivc Community Church is part of the Universal Eiellowship of Merropolitan
Community Churches (ufMCQ whose churches play a vital role worldwide in
addressing the spiritual necds of l £.B'r+ folk and their ￿'end4.
Vhile not all our mcmbus identtfy as LGBT+. Indusive Community Church seeks
to reach out to those who may fcd disenfranchi8ed by C.kn8tianity. We be]ieve that
sexual orientstions and gcnder identities arc lovcd by God 2nd should be
welcomed completely into the Church.
Because of our commitment to indusivity, we keenly support equ21 marriage. As a
sign of God's unconth"tional lov4 we have hdd weddmg seTrices for same-scx
couples since our church's foundation. We reioice that OUT church was the first place
of worship in the Unitcd Kingdom to legally conduct same-sex weddings when the
law was changed in 2014.

church as a safe space for alL
Duting the year. we have kept our po]icy and procedures under frequent review and
updated for the pn)tection of everyone involved in our church's activities - having
regard to the Charity con)￿810￿,8 guid2nce on public b￿efit 2nd to the
Governmertt's advice and tegulations for ensuting pub]ic safety dwing the Covid-19
pandemic.
Structure and Governance
Our church is a registered charAty and an unincotpor2ted assoa2tion. It is governed
by a constitutioo approved by the chutth members and12st revised in 2(X)9.
Thc ch2rity ts under the overall supuvision of a Board of Trustees, composed of the
Pastor (ex-offiao Chalr oEthe Board) and volunteers dected by. aad fro￿ the chutch
membershtp. The Pastor is the chall￿s only salaried employe4 and is responsible
for managing its day-to-day activities. The chutch land and buildmgs are vested in
the Offiaal Custodian for Chan'ties.
Reverend Dw2yne Mowan. Kevin Bales, Theres2 Dickson, and Peter Dowrick served
as the chan'rfs trustees in 2021-2022.

10. Our activities enable us to provide public benefit by ministering to the spititU21
wellbcing of LC,Fr+ folk, their friends, and anyone seekllg 2 doser rdAtionship with
God.
I l. The hgh]¥ht of Inclusive Community Church happens every Sunday when we father
as a church family to worship and Eellowsbip. In addition to our onsite Sunday
worslu"p each weeL we continue to live broadcast our services and mAintAin a
recotding online throughout the folk)wing weeL Through thi's online ministry we
continue to reach those who cannot be with us in perso￿ incIudts￿ many who ￿ve
in other towns and aties, as well as other countsies.

(held at Flirt Café in Bournen￿Uth town centre). Christhus, Epiphany. Ash
Wednesday. Hoty Weel E2Ste£ Pentecos¢ Pndetid4 Harvest FestivaL All Saints
Day, ReMeMbr￿ce Day, Transgtnder Day of Remembrance (hdd at Bournemouth
University's The Old Fffe Ststion in centrat Bournemouth). 2nd Rewi of CknisL

13. We introduced a new I£nten S￿leS entided F4Uts ib¢ Bi7rn that induded a tske home
devotional and an online Visio Diwna Bible Sts4. For out l£nten offenng we raised
£550 to aid in the resettlement of ukraini￿ LGBT+ people to safety. We also
coniinued out n￿nthlY Connect Coffee Mon)ing and our incteasts]gty popular
monthly Praise & Prayet servi
14. This yeat we again hdd a Season of Priddide by having a tw(￿daY inforn)ation stall
at the expanded LGBT+ Boume Free Ptide Festival at Meyrick Park in
BoUrnernout￿ indudifg taking part at the popular Family Day where we rvached
many young people and families with God's niessage of love for ALL people. We
continued the Bourne Free Cdebratio￿ with our Sunday Bourne Free Pride
Celebration Worship .Setvice and afternoon BBQ.
15. In June 2022. we celebrated with the Nation 2nd Commonwealth Queen Eh'zabeth
II'S P12tinum Jubilee with a special Platinum Pentecost Sunday time of Worship,
followed by join￿g in the afternoon Jubaee Cdebrations for the local community at
Fishetman's Wallt in Southbourne. Then in september, we remembered Her Late
Majesty's life of service once more as we came together at church to mourn and
commemornte her passin
16. Through these, our other activities, our websit4 our social media presenc4 2nd our
onjme bioadcasts. we loyfi￿Y prodaim God's inclusive love for alL reg2r(lles8 of
gender identity or sexual orientatioa. Thmugh our bmadcasts. our services reach
beyond just our local area to friends following us elsewhere in the UK and around
the world.
17. We thank the members of our congregation who have stepped up to hdp in various
ways throughout the past ycat to ensure that ministry takes place amongst us -
helping with nur Worsh￿ services, hospit2b'ty. chutch adM￿￿tratiOn 2nd the upkeep
of our buildll￿ and grounds.
Financial Review
18. We encour4e our members to be faithfid stcwards of all the gifts that God has ￿vell
thenl We ate very gratefijl to everyone whose prayers. ￿'t1th￿ support, and
generosity have helped to fimd our church upkeep and enabled out Chnstian ministry
2nd outreAch to continue.
19. In the year ending August 2022 our Church's totsl income was £46.300. including
£39.900 donations 2nd £3,41K) incon)e from fimdtawng 2nd tenting out Church Hall
to local groups. In the previous year totsl income was £48.8￿.

20. Our expenditure was £417(K> tn the year ellding August 2022 (compared to £49,900
in the previous year). This induded £27,6(K) on the p&stofs s212ry and rdated costs,
£8.700 on the Chutch building and equipmenL and £6.4W on other costs. We
generated a net sU￿]uS of £3.6(M). thich we used to make bank loan repayments.
21. Spendtt￿ on our church building and equipment induded three special projects.
I￿Y fimded from specific donations we received in the prevlous year. The project
Costs were £3.7(M) on 2udio-visual Monito￿ for our worskn'p services. £5,500 for
Sanctuary window blinds that incteased the visibility in out worship services of our
monitors as well as for our on]ine broadcasts￿ and £1700 on necessary electrical
works. This special spendin& and the related speaal donations received in the
ptevious year. meant that in 2020-21 total expenses excecded income in the yeat by
£1,100, whereas we had a £102(￿ surplus of income over expenses in 2019-20.
22. We seeK where possible. to hold enough income in avad2ble reserves to meet at least
one month's average rouline sp(xIdts￿. Out net cuttent assets at 31st August 2022
were £3,(KK).
Conclu8ion
23. We give thanks fot all that God has cartied out amotwt us and we look forward to
the year ahead in the hope of Jesus Christ as we etho the words of the Apostle PauL.

Note 1- ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Accountlng basls. These financial statements have been prepared on an income and 8xpendFture basis for a going
concern in accordance vlth the Charity Commission's Statement of Recommended Practice for charity accounts following
the Financial Reporting Standard (FRS 102) effective from January 2019.
Income. Individuals, monetary donations to the Charity are recognlsed in the finandal statements when they are
received. Gift Aid tax claims are inc4uded in the financial statements at the same Ilme as the related donation. Other
income is recognised when due.
Llabllltles and expendltur• are induded In the financial statem8nts at their cash value vhlen the Ilability arises.
Restrlctod Funds are Income funds that must be spent on restricted purposes for which the Income was given.
Unrestrfcted Funds represent the remaining income funds of the Charlty that are available for spending on the
Charfty's general purposes, Including the General Fund and other Funds designated by the Charitys trustees for its own
use or for spending on a future project.
Tanglblo assets. The church building and its land are shown in the Balance Sheet as a fixed asset at a value of
£150,000 dating from 2000. The difference be￿een this t)ook value and the outstanding bank loan is represented in
Unrestricted Funds as a General Fund capital reserve. Equipment. fumishings and other purchases are included in
expenditure in the Statement of Financial Activities in the year they are acquired and do not appear as fixed assets in the
Balance Sheet.
Depreclation is not provided on the church building and land as the likely residual value is not less than the carrying
value shown in the Balance Sheet.
