with a range of kaming disabilities and their lamilies in London SIr￿e 1962. We work to er￿Ure people wth learning disabilities arè
valued as equal citizens, wtth th8 chaneè to make full use ol their communty aTrJ make deusions al￿trt their lives at ev&ry available
opportunity, no matter the18v81 of th9¥ disability.
We operate in a number ol London bor0￿hS arKI have signthcant experience in supporting people disabilities. including people
wtth complex needs and profound and multiple disabilities. We piq¢e srrial emphask% on promoting lamily relationships, as this is
¢ruek41 to delivering successfvl services. The services ￿ provide are eXtens￿e anrl indude registered eare, supported I￿ing, short
brtrak8. communty seNkes. and domScillary care for adufts. We akn provhye famity support and other semces for chiklrèn.
In January 2021, we changsd oui name to Leaming Dk8abllity Nets40rk London Limited ILDN London). This followed exiensivg
consultation with people *ith leaming disabilrfies. Ih8ir familiès. our staff aTrJ supporters. The overwhelming response suppoted a
name which better reflects the organisation we are trrflay. ￿ LDN Lormjon. we are committed to fvrthering our reach and to be the
organisation of choice for leaming disabled LoThJoners and their families
Chlldren and Families
We hav8 a long history of piomding services for chiklren *ith ¢￿￿bill￿e5 and thew larnili•s in Westminsler.
In response lo Cowd19. our setvices lor families were moditsy to include telephone arKI rnedia based support to lami1ies affected
by the parKlemic. Many families were extremety isolatgj during l¢xkdovms and emotional al￿ practical support was essential during
this time.
Our short breaks seNces were also adap￿ lo supFxMt framil￿S in crisis duè to the impacl of lockdowns. In addition. we Pfowded
rehabilitative accommcNlation aThJ SUPFKfft for Feople reco¥ering from Ihe and hospital admission and who were unable to
return safely to their l*mily home.
We have continued our suppcKt of lfjds Can Achi￿ Ltd IKCAI Wh￿ has been SL￿eSSful in securing 3 year funding from Cty
Bridge Trust and John Lyon's Charity. These grants wll lund lamity worker8 aThJ therapy se&si0rn8 for children atm1 families as part of
thair 'Families Can Achieve, proiecl.
We have also developed a new p05t fund8(I by us to help the parenl carer I lamity ol children wth SEND to navigate the
assessment process lor Health. Education aTrJ Cafe Plans. which are ¢t]li￿ in ensurin9 appropriate services are provided for the
disabled child.
Adult Services
Over the Last 12 months. much ol our work supporting aduhs, has been centre(l around our batue lo mitlgate the effects of cO￿d19
on the people we suprKJrt and theif slaff. As an organisation we have been on an unprecedgnted journey vthere w8 havè rapidly
adapted to emerging challerhg85 in 8v8r changing situalions. From the ￿Jtsel our focus has been to keep the people we suppgrt and
our staff as safe a￿1 well as rx)ssible.
W8 have workod together tn the spirit of communty and commitment. We have been constanty reminded atX>Lrt the Creati￿ty,
passion, and kindness of our staff. who have worked diligently in keeping people safe. We are thankful thal we have experienced
low rates of infection among the people using otjr serwces. Ho%%Ever. very sadty. we have also losl people to Ihis virus and wtr offer
our sincere condolences to their farni1￿, friends and their Supwrt slaff at this vèry drfficutt time.

prOv￿e., the way we deliver support and the way ￿ organise oursefves as a prov¥Jer ol care and support across London.

We have contin*Jed to lobby for appropriate fundirrfj for the so(xal G4f8 S8cior arml hy we wll see a change in funding priorities in
recognition of the invaluat4e work it provides in safeguarding the health and ￿ElIbeing of srKAety's most Vulneral￿e people.
We have also campaigned for people vthh leaming disabl1￿eS to be trealed tyuitabty on a range ol Cowd reLated issues with other
vulnerable groups. This has included access to testing aThJ vaccination because there is clear evidencè thèt all people with
learning disabilty are highly vulnerable to dw.ng from Covid19. at rates lar higher than the general population.

Adult HousinA and Respite
W8 tsperate 4 registeied care homes sn Westminster, vAth cl&Yicated staff teams beneffttng 16 adults with learning disabiltties who
need 24 houT SUPPOrt. The people who use our semces are s¢Jpported to ensure their indwidual neeils. wants and wshes are met
in a homely environment at the heart of their communty.
We proV￿e a raroe ol supported housing sgmces in Weslminster. canm1￿. Islington aThJ the Royal Borough ol Kensington and
Chelsea %4thich includes one-b￿rooM flats and shared liwng fiats. This ronge of secure tenancy accommodation benefits 204 adu
wlth learning disabilities. The tailor-made support packages vary from 24 hour on site suppotl to the more traditional supported
houslng outreach model.
Ensuring our adult housing semces a￿ fvlty utilised continues to be a top PriOFity. Th8 average void I vacancy rate Bcross our
housing services remained at 7.0% during 2tr20r21 I7.￿ in 20191201 and al year end the void rate had in¢reased to 8.0%16.0% in
2019POI. There have been a toial of 19 moves during the pertod (15 in 20191201 in line with our housing strategy in responding
fflexibty to individual's housing %vants and nesds. Al stjpported housing and regislered care tenants W an indivxlual budgel, each
with a clearly identified level of support hours being provKled arKI transparènt associated costs.
We also prowde a Short Breaks Respite seN¢x across 2 sites in Westrninster and Kensii)gton and Chelsea. This service provides
planned and emergency building based respite places beneffting up to 16 adults th leaming disabilities at any one lime. as well as
up lo 150 hours per week of cNJtreach suppo
Communltv Servlces
Our LDN Connecl and LDN Dropin SeThI￿ have pmmded a wide rnnge of group actyvrty, drop-in. holthy schem8 and volunteering
sgssions and events lor adults and young people ￿ leaming disabilities. Unfortunately. we were not ab$8 to operate the38
services in 2020P1 during the Covid pandemic due to the eommunrty based group nature ol the activities. We are looking to
relaunch a new service in 2021122 aimed at supporting ￿1r￿a￿le adulL% who receNe little or no support trom other agencies.
The LDN4U outreach leams aTrJ other 8UPFrfed hO￿ing hubs wntlnugj to provide tailor rnade packages of floating support
to people liwng in the comrnunity. At year end, 966 weekly SUPFX)rt hours 7h*rtr being provided to 62 people11,821 hours for 97
people in 20201 with individual packages ranging Irom 3 hours per week basic tenancy support to more Complex and inter agency
support packages. This includes SUPE￿ b￿n9 provid&J in Westminster. Carnden. Islington and Kensington and Chelsea.
The number of families reCe￿ing SUPPOrt from our Famity Services Team in 2020r21 was 1421188 in 20191201. The service alms to
develop family ¢onfiden¢e and re$ilièn¢e arKI prowdes counselling and pc￿ge as well as advice, informalion and support regarding
welfare benefits, landlord disputes, heatth issues arn1 risks. referrals. ECHP'S and signposting io locxlbank and volunteer
programmes.
Rainbows is a nursery catering for chiklren wih and wthout disabiltties. At year end. this earty yearfs promsion lor children under 5
was provhling plaees for 10 chitsjren vthh leamiThJ disabilities and 28 mainstrearn thiklren15 and 41 at year end 20191201.
Kids Can Achieve Limited IKCA)
LDN London is the sole member ol KCA. a charity regi￿ered in Er¥JlaThJ and Wales (Charity NUMI￿r. 10967961.
KCA is a charitable company limited by guarantee (Company Number 46061161. incorp)rated on 10th December 2002 and
registered as a charity on 1st April 2W3. It has a Irustee body vthich is resp)n5ibbg tor overseeing arKI tnonitoring the key areas of
activtty wthin the organisation. The day-to-day managemenl of the organisation is commissioned lo and carried out by the LDN
London which is led by its Direclor of Semces reports to the KCA Board of Trustees. KCA operates throughout the borough of
Harrow, and in neighbouring areas. and maintsins an office in Harrow Weald.
