Irregularities, including fraud, are inslances of non-compliance with laws and regulations. We design
procedures in line with our responsibilities. outlined above. to detect material misstalements in respect
of Irregularities, including fraud. The extenl to which our procedures are capable of detecting
irregularilies, including fraud is detailed below:
We obtained an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the charity and
identified ihat ihe principal risk of non-compliance related to breaches of health and safely regulations
including food safety. We considered the effecl on the financial stalements. due lo any non-compliance.
We also considered those laws and regulations that have a dir￿1 impact on the financial statements,
such as the Charities Act 201 l. We evaluated the risks relaled to the management's manipulation of
accounting) enlries and accounting estimates, which could dir¢¢tly impact ihe financial stalements.
Audit procedures performed included:
discussions with Trustees, including whether ihey have knowledge of any actual, suspected
or alleged fraud.
perforniing procedures to address ihe risk of management ovcrride. Our audil testing
included complele populalions ofcertain transaLlions and balances. bul typically involved
audit sampling and a selection of a limiled number of items for testing to enable us to draw
a conclusion about the population from which the sample was selected.
Reviewing grant conditions for any major non-compliance issues.
Reviewing minules of Executive Committee meelings.
Because of the inhereni limilations of an audit. there is a risk that we will not delect all irregularities,
including those leading to a material misstatemenl in the financial statements or non-compliance with
regulalion. This risk increases ihe more that compliance with a law or regulation is removed from ihe
events and iransactions reflected in ihe financial slatements. as we will be less lik¢ly io become aware of
inslances of non-compliance. The risk is also greater regiarding irregularities oCCu￿1ng du¢ to fraud
rather than error, as fraud involves intenlional concealment, forgery,, collusion, omission or
misr¢pres¢ntalion.

receive. Debiors also include amounts receivable on grant funding to which the charity is
enliiled. Debtors are measured al the amount ihe charity anlicipales it will receive from a
debt or the amount li has paid in advan¢¢ for goods or services.
Creditors are recognised as expenditure as soon as ihere is a legal or conslruclive
obligation cornin itting the charity lo thal expenditure. it is probable that settlement
will be required and the amounl of the obligation can be measured reliably.
Leasing and Hire Purchase commitments

tangible assets and depreciated over the shorter of ihe lease lerni and iheir useful lives.
Obligations under such agreemenls are included in creditor net of the finance charge

stalemcnl of linancial aclivities so as to produce constant periodic rates of charge on ihe
nel obl igiations outstanding in each period.
Rentals payable under operaling leases are char8ed against income on straight-line basis
over the lease temi.
Going concern
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis a5 the Irustees
believe that no matcrial uncertainties exisl. The truslees have considered the level of
funds held and the expected level of income and expenditure for 12 months trom
authorising these financial statements. The budgeled income and expendtture is sufficienl
with the level of reserves for the charity to be able lo continue as a going concern.
Jiidgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty
The preparation of the financial slalemenls requires trustees to make judgements.
estirnales and assumpiions ihat affecl the amounls reported. These estimates and
judgemenls are continually reviewed and are based on experience and other tactors.
