stages.
Key activilies for 2023 include fundlng extemal workshops f(
each year group to enhance their curriculum learning. Work
has also commenced on the rebuilding of the playground
apparalus for the use by the children durlng thelr break times
and
sical educalion sessions.
The association activltles beneflt all EYFS. KS1 and KS2
children of Cavendish Primary School. In this respect the
association confirms that Ihe trustees have due regard to the
guldance issued by the Charity Commission on publlc tsenerit.

All fundraising events organised by the cornrnittee and

support of staff at Ihe school.

remunerated for their support.

The events organised and run by the association not only
provide a means of fundraising for the purpose of the charity
but also to help build a sense of community among the
children. par@nt￿carerthlder family members and school
staff. The actlvities are fun, social and provide opportunlties
for lasting memories to te made of the children's early
school years.

Cavendish School welcomed a new leadership team in
2022. Working wilh the new business manager during the
early part of 2023 we separaled ourselves financially from
the school and ceased payment collecllons through their
Parentmail system. A funding plan was agreed In
September 2023 for the ￿Ma1nder of the year and
prcKesses pul In place for a future fundlng structure.

After the successful fundraising campaign. work also
commenced on Ihe build of the new playground apparatus
in 2023 (invoiced in early 2024).
Fundraising now works on a school calendar year
(Septernber lo August). Proceeds of the previous year's
fundraising are allocated to the following year. For example,
fundraising between September 2023 and August 2024 will
be allocated to expendilure from September 2024,

purchase supplles for upcomlng evenls,
An EGM was held in November 2023 due lo very low
numbers in attendance at the AGM in September and the
quorum not being met.
The Chair stepped down durlng the EGM and it was unsure If
anyone would volunteer lo fill the position and continue the
work of the association.
Thankfully Marian was nominated and ovenNhelmingly voted
into the role, The Friends of Cavendish has been golng frorn
strength to strength since and any uncertainties around its
continuation have been dismissed.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2023. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in any material respect:
