We design procedures in line with our responsibilities outlined above, to detect material misstatements in respect of irregularities, including fraud. We obtained an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the charrtable company. including those areas that could reasonably be expected to have a material effect on the financial statements. The most slgnrficant were identrfied as The Companies Act 2006, UK GAAP {FRS1021, The Charrties SORP (FRS102) and The Charities Act 2011. We considered the extent of compliance with those laws and regulations as part of our procedures on the related financial statements. Our audrt procedures included: Making enquiri8s of management in respect to the susceptibilty and susplcion of fraud: Obtaining an understanding of the internal control structure., Closely examining significant unusual transactions outside the ch8rot8ble company's normal activrties., Substantive testing on journal entries for any signs ol manipulation,. Detailed review of accounting estimates,. Agreeing a sample of employee's details to payrolllHR records and contracts., Substantively testing the recognition and completeness ofthe charitable company's income streams., and Testing the allocats'on of income and expenditure to the correct funds of the charitable company. 8e¢8use of the inherent limttations of an audit. there is a risk that will not detect all irregularitles, including those leading to 8 material misstatement in the financial statements or non-compliance wtth regulation. This risk increases the more that compliance with a law or regulation is removed from the events and transactions reflected in the financial statement$, as we will be les$ likely to become aware of Instances of non<omplian¢e. The risk Is also greater regarding irregularities occurring due to fraud rather than error, as fraud Involves intentional concealment, forgery, Collusion, omission or misrepresentation. A further description of our responsibilrties for the audrt of the financial statements is located on the Financial Reporting Council's webslte at V•WW.frc.org.uklauditorsresponslbilities. This description forms part of our Report of the IndependentAuditors. 13-
