Inspiring environmental sustainability by bringing nature to the heart of Lewes.We do this through:Running the Linklater Pavilion building as a community-based hub for the understanding of a sustainable environmentProviding inclusive outdoor learning using innovative approachesSupporting the local authority in managing the Railway Land Local Nature Reserve for the whole community

Objects: To record, study, conserve, improve and create for the benefit of the public places of natural scientific interest and in particular of arboricultural, botanical, entomological, geological, ornithological, archaeological and zoological interest and to protect the flora and fauna of such places within the framework of sustainability.To promote, organise, conduct and encourage study and research for the increase of knowledge in the natural sciences and sustainability and to publish the useful results of such study and research.To advance the education of the public in: (a) sustainability in the natural sciences and in particular in arboriculture, botany, entomology, geology, ornithology and zoology; and (b) the employment of the natural sustainable resources of land in craftwork.To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for the benefit of the public at large.To provide, maintain or improve a public park or other public amenity in the vicinity of a landfill site where it is for the protection of the environment. To maintain, repair or restore a building or other structure which is of historical interest, where such building or other structure is situated in the vicinity of a landfill site.To make provision of financial administration and other similar services for the purposes of promoting the objects. To encourage and facilitate all members of the community, regardless of gender, race, ethnic origin, creed, sexuality, age, employment, financial hardship, ill health (physical or mental), educational attainment, relationship breakdown, or crime to have access to the work of the Trust. This will include the Trust organising activities that are particularly focused on socially disadvantaged groups, where funding and facilities permit.
