**Chairman’s Report for The Friends of Frank Wise School, 34[th] Annual General Meeting**

Reflecting on my first year as Chair I would first like to thank you all for your advice and support. We have had three meetings since the last AGM, this in fact will be the 4[th,] so we are complying with our constitution.

Looking back since the last AGM there has been an incredible amount of financial support from the community, as you will have observed in the Treasurer’s report, also donations, the most unusual probably being 285 Christmas Trees!

Fund raising activities have included Easter Bingo, A Quiz Night at Banbury Rugby Club, a sponsored bike ride, and the Round Table Santa Float, of course there have been many other events as well.

Some of the Friends attended the Mayor’s Sunday in July to promote the Friends and encourage new members, following feedback from that event we have updated the fund raising flyer and the recruitment flyer. We were also present at the recent Community Fund Raising Event at Banbury Cricket Club, making new contacts and headlining the need for funds to replace the minibuses.

If elected, in the coming year, as well as the ongoing activities of being Chair, I plan to focus on the following:

a) Continue to raise the profile of the Friends to achieve more income.

b) Encourage recruitment to the Friends as commitee members or on a register of names that we can call on to help at specific events.

c) Raising funds for replacement minibuses.

In conclusion, thank you to all of the Commitee members, Friends, parents, guardians, pupils, school staff and the community for all of their ongoing support.

Hopefully I will see many of you at the AGM on Wednesday, the 18th of October, 2023 at 6.30 pm. At Frank Wise School.
