ST. LAWRENCE CHAIUTABLE FUND Registered Charity No 81x1344 CHAIR'S ANNUAL REPORT FOR ST LAWRENCE CHARITABLE FUND FROM JUNE 2023 TO JUNE 2024 SLCF was commenced 36 years ago, and the volunteer trustees conts'nue to meet monthly, managing and administering requests from the fund. The nurnbers of adults and children helped over the past twelve months continues to increase, as does the cosl of the goods. Our annual appeal was held in November 2023 and raised £1,512. Many thanks to Fr. Paul, Fr. Allan and the parishioners of St Lawrence's for their continuing support, Following on from the SUGcess of the bam dance in 2023, the parish social committee organised another in January this year, raising £521 for SLCF, your support is much appreciated. Thanks go to those individuals and groups that have donated to SLCF. Among these are Sidcup Rotary Club donating £3,610, The Inner Wheel £1000, Catenians £250 as well as other groups, and indivlduals. The Tesco Community Grant scheme gave £500. Thank you to all who voted, Following on from receiving a Government Household Support Funding grant, a further allocation of £50,000 has been granted enabling help with requests this year. It gives ongoing security to the continuing work of the charity. The previous grant has made a great difference to adults and children within 146 households. This has increased the workload of trustees, and I would like to give thanks to Mik8 Conway for the application process and coordinating of these retums, Jeanette Judge in managing and implements'ng the requests, and to Nick Wells as Treasurer for managing the financial aspect. The accounts for the year April 2023 to March 2024 are as follows. Totsl income £96,453 total expenditure £41,816. Balance is £102,398. In April 2023 the sum of £7,390 was received from HMRC as a result of Gift Aid, previous year was £2486. As we go fop4vard with a healthy balance, we are aware of the increasing need within all areas of the community and will continue to provide help. I would like to Ihank all trustees for their loyal support and continued work for SLCF. We welcome Mrs Pushpa Aseervatham joining as a trustee. We would like to encourage anyone interested to get in contact to discuss joining the team. Teresa Havety, Chair June 2024 A COmp￿Y Limited b>. GuarADtee.
