THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE TRUSTEE FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025
One sixth of the yearly income of the Dartmouth Trust is administered and managed, as a separate charity under the above title, and Dartmouth Town Council is Trustee of that charity.
The monies applied by the Town Council are for the general benefit of the inhabitants of Dartmouth as the Town Council thinks fit, and is therefore administered in accordance with the terms set out in clause 28(3) of the scheme and with the requirements of charity law.
The Council has incurred expenditure this year to the value of £150,552.58 (2024 – £153,016.67)
To this end therefore, the sum of £139,388.40
(2024 - £196,704.31) has not been spent and is held in abeyance.

Report to the trustees of The Public Purposes Share of the Dartmouth Trust on the accounts for the year ended 31st March 2024
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31st March 2024
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
-accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
-the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
