Structure. governance and management The charity was establt$h¢d by a govemtn8 document: Constitution dated 14 July 1987. and it is a Registered Charity No.800155. The charity is admiTLiSt¢red by three tn]st¢¢s. The ¢harity has control over who holds the shares in'Liden Community CentrE Bar Limited. which is considered to br a trading $ub$idiary of the charity. There are monthly meetings of the trust¢e8 the Directors of the trading subsidiary, representstives of user groups and of members of the community ¢entre. Tn]stee5 are recruited by an open invitation for volunt¢¢rs. Objectives And *ctivities Objeds &ftd&ln The objective5 of the charity are.. To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Liden and th¢ neighix>urhood without disiinction of se4 sexual orientatLOtL. race or of political, religious or other optnions by $0¢lating with IocY41 authoritie$, voluntary organisatiotLS and the inhabitatlts in a ¢ommon effort to promot¢ fa¢ilities in the inter¢5ts of education, l¢isur¢ time occupation with the obj1 of improving the conditions of life of th¢ said inhabitants. A tTading subsidiary has been established to provide licensed bar faeilities. In additltsrt to rent being reeeived the bar profits ar¢ donated to the charity in accordance with the ¢ompony's memorandum and articles. These include the operation of the bar facilities through the trading subsidiary and activities avoilable to the local cornmunity thtough tlie lettÉn8 of room5 to local community 8roups and a¢tivity providers. There 15 a small increase of £972 received from letting of fariliti¢s. There are profits of £12.44) to be donated from the trading subsidiary for the year. Flnanelal review The attached financial stst¢ments show the state of finances which the trustees consider to be sound. The trading substdtary will donate it5 profits for the Y of£12,443 and amounts du¢ from the subsidiary at th¢ end of the fjnoncial period. including that donation, amounted to £8,612. Policy on reserves The trustees consider that r¢serv¢s in the r¢gion of £10,000 ar¢ r¢quir¢d as working capital to fimd activities of the ¢harity and its trading subsidiary. The thJst¢es are a¢tively now looking at ways to increase the reserves to this level. Financial instruments Credltrisk The Charity's principal fJnan¢ial assets are bank balan¢¢s and Cash, trade and other re¢¢ivable5. and Invest[nlIS. The Charity's credit risk is ptimarily altributable to its trade receivables. The amounts presented rn the balance sheet are net of allowances for doubtful receivables.
