ZODIAC MUSICAL SOCIETY
Trustees Annual Report for the Year to 31st August 2025
Zodiac Musical Society is registered with the Charity Commissioners (No: 800031) and is managed in accordance with its constitution and rules dated October 2014. The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis.
During the year (1/9/24 to 31/8/25) the society was administered by a Management Committee, as follows:

Hon Treasurer: Mr Paul Carter
Other Members: Miss Laura Jane Gravett, Mrs Denise Havilland, Mr Paul Hayes, Mr Rob Johnson, Miss Georgia Swinburn
The objects of the society is to educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts, and to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts.
The society meets every Thursday evening at 8pm at Laleham Village Hall, The Broadway, Laleham, Middlesex for rehearsals. In the months preceding a production the group also rehearse on Tuesdays and Sundays at Riverside Arts Centre Sunbury.
During the year the Society performed on the following occasions at venues in the Borough of Spelthorne and the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames:
October 2024: Major Production, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at the Hampton Hill Theatre.
December 2024: Christmas Concert, ‘Wonderful Christmastime’ at the Riverside Arts Centre, Sunbury.
April 2025: Spring Concert, ‘It’s Showtime’ at the Riverside Arts Centre, Sunbury.
The society relies heavily on the fundraising concerts and events to supplement our income.
The Society did not receive any financial support this year from the Local Authorities.
Official
The Society is a member of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (N.O.D.A.). Membership of this Association enables us to take advantage of group insurance rates, as well as being a source of help and advice on Operatic and Dramatic Issues.
The Society is a member of Riverside Arts Centre where some of our concerts are held.
The Society holds two bank accounts (current account and business account) with the
National Westminster Bank, 73 High Street, Walton-on-Thames.
