Zodiac Musical Society is registered with the Charity Commissioners (No: 800031) and is managed in accordance with its constitution and rules dated October 2014. The attached accounts have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis.
During the year (1/9/22 to 31/8/23) the society was administered by a Management Committee, as follows:

The object of the society is to educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts, to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts, to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable purposes, as the Committee shall from time to time determine.
The society meets every Thursday evening at 8pm at Laleham Village Hall, The Broadway, Laleham, Middlesex for rehearsals. In the months preceding a major production the group also rehearse on Tuesdays and Sundays.
During the year the Society performed on the following occasions at various venues in the Boroughs of Spelthorne and Runnymede.
October 2022 Major Production, ‘Shrek – The Musical’ at the Magna Carta Arts Centre, Staines. December 2022 Christmas Concert, ‘Christmas Bells’ at the Riverside Arts Centre, Sunbury April 2023 Spring Concert, ‘Everybody’s Talking about Zodiac’ at the Riverside Arts Centre, Sunbury
The society relies heavily on the fundraising concerts and events to supplement our income.
The Society did not receive any financial support this year from the Local Authorities.
The Society is a member of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (N.O.D.A.). Membership of this Association enables us to take advantage of group insurance rates, as well as being a source of help and advice on Operatic and Dramatic Issues. The Society is a member of the Spelthorne Community Arts Council, and is also a member of Magna Carta Arts Association and the Riverside Arts Centre where our concerts are held.
The Society holds two bank accounts (current account and business account) with the National Westminster Bank, 73 High Street, Walton-on-Thames. The attached accounts have been audited by: Mr Marcus Bailey.
