2. Treasurer’s report and Accounts.

Accounts distributed and agreed by trustees on 13.02.2025 Brought forward: £10537.38; Income: £30161.04; Expenses: £20333.19; Carried forward: £20365.23. : Accounts currently being checked. In good financial position but may need reserves later on depending on what happens with PGL. Kensington have not yet cashed cheque, but have paid deposit to PGL.

3. PGL visit

Currently there are a lot of unknowns which will hopefully become clearer | | following visit on 12th April. Keely has worked out timings from new location to | our usual venues. Plan of the week has been distributed to trustees but not | | finalised. We may only have Park View staff who can drive the bus which may impact trips: Keely, Rachel and Amy can drive - may mean swapping staff for days out. Ray has looked into insurance for another van - unable to secure this. Minibus hire £1350 - too expensive. No visit to Mold but could go to Shrewsbury market - daily market in a market hall. Visit on the 12", will enable team to find out what is available/appropriate in local area near to PGL. Maybe more on-site options at PGL. Keely has found a park 9 min away from PGL and a second, bigger | | park (free) with play area, park, castle, splash pool - 34 min away. Liz suggested planning of tournaments/games for day to park. All weather dependent. Wrexham cinema still on the plan, as is Plas Madoc and Llandudno. Concerns over | Greenwood Forest Park as nearly 2hr away (2.0hr from Colomendy). Possibly still plan to go as good venue (top 10 in Wales) - dependent on PGL providing tea later or us providing our own meal. Cannot make decisions until spoken to PGL staff on | 42th April. = | SECRETARY usiadate CHAIRMAN &TREASURER | | Mrsie Wynne The King’s Award Mr Ray Jones BEM | | Aughton,14 StandhouseOrmskirk, LaneL39 5AR aaa Aughton,Highmere,Ormskirk, 11 CygnetL395QH Close || | 7:07846 852 431 www.mchf.org.uk T: 07930964543 | A Registered Charity No: 702960 S

ifV4 [OSY,>in BOY va \ - @Plose?= TD ‘ The Merseyside Children’s Holiday Fund ' Est. 1967 4. Staffing levels and children. i Limited to 17 staff and 60 children (77 max), Currently there is no room for Layla. | Children: 10 infant boys and 10 infant girls, 20 junior boys and 20 junior girls. PGL appear to be strict on these numbers, to be discussed at visit on 12th April with i Centre Manager. If children swapping age ranges in the day, swap back for sleeping. We must be strict on 60 invitations only — previously invited more in case children drop out last minute, this will not be possible as no wiggle room if all attend. Staffing: Infants: Keely, Amy, Rachel, June, Liz, Becca (6) JG: June, Janet, Faye, Niamh, Imogen (5) JB: Ray, Michael/Tim, John, Jimmy, Dave, Pete (6) 5. Schools | New school, Mab lane - in close proximity to Park View, Deputy Head agreed | parents can meet at McDonalds. Not using St Columbus as no connection now i Janet is no longer there. Timings of first day moved slightly to account for longer journey to PGL. Now meeting 9.15, coach 9.30. 9.40 at Kensington, coach 9.50. John to get cases on minibus, then children on coach. 6. Future storage of equipment. | Park View have agreed they can store boxes - need to have a purge this year to | reduce amount of boxes before storage, now all resources to be kept together. If | resources not used, to be thrown away/recycled - e.g., blue rucksacks that have | been donated not to be used this year, older bags to be used, then donated to children if past their best for the purposes of future use on the holiday. Blue rucksacks to be used in following years. 7. Duty rotas Set up at PGL unknown until visit on 12th April. JB and JG staff do not use rotas, all staff support and take time away as needed. Liz stressed importance of all staff having adequate time away and night, off as required. To share staff to | enable this. apt RE ott, | | SECRETARY ne CHAIRMAN & TREASURER | ; Mrs Liz Wynne The King’s Award Mr Ray Jones BEM | Aughton,14 StandhouseOrmskirk, LaneL39 5AR an Aughton,Highmere,Ormskirk, 11 Cygnet L395QH Close = | | 7:07846 852 431 www.mchf.org.uk T: 07930964543 | a . Team also viewing i | Shrewsbury Private School on 12th April as alternative venue. Ray spoke to PGL, we are unique and not the usual type of group they cater for. They will look at | 2026 to potentially match price of Kingswood. 2027 is our 60th anniversary year - - Ray believes they would want to help us particularly in this year. 62K cost for for | accommodation is for groups that use all activities each day, cost would be considerably less as we are off-site for much of the holiday. | 9. Any other business | : Keely requested letter head to enable her to use this for letters to parents. Print | shop designed logo/letter head, Ray to enquire if they will share this with us. | | Becca - has secured £500 donation froma solicitors in Manchester. They have | specified that the money be used for a particular cost - suggestion this pays for coach to Llandudno (circa £400), if any excess can be used for boat trip (circa | £100). Ray to request separate receipt for this trip from coach company.

KAVS - Award confirmed on King’s birthday in November 2024, award ceremony on 15th February 2025. Excellent celebration and enjoyed by all. Date for trip to Palace tbc - should hear by end of March.
