Govemance and management
The charity is operated under the rules of its constitution adopted 29101190 and most
re￿ntlY amended 16102118.
Election to choose new management committee a￿ held every 2 years. Members of
Meadows Muslim Centre can put their name forward to become new committee
members. On the election day members choose a new management committee
consisting of 7 committee members which includes chair, secretary, treasurer. and 4
committee members.
Objectives and activities
The organisation has been established to work towards addressing the multitude of
issues affecting the Muslim community in the Meadows and immediate surrounding
areas. The overall aim will be achieved through initiating, developing and delivering
relevant social and educational programmes and activities lo meet the varied needs of
the community.
The organisation will also be instrumental in developing and delivering appropriate
cultural support mechanisms for different groupings within the community including
young people. women, elderly, unemployed etc.
It is our ultimate goal to work towards helping to improve the quality of life for members
of our community by working with them from a culturally appropriate perspective in
meeting their needs. Through effective participation in accessing services, skills,
infomiation and experiences, members of our community will be able to play a greater
role in their neighbourhoods through increased engagement and contribute towards
greater community cohesion in the area by becoming active citizens.

Public benefit statement
The Trustees confimi that they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the
Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidan
on public benefrt. 'Charities and Public Benefit,.
Summary of the main actlvities undertaken for the public benefit
The centre provided local residents with existing activilies such as community
meetings, Arabic classes, prayer facilities. sports activities for the young people
etc.-
The centre is available for the public to come and meet in a safe and friendly
environment"
We invite local MP. councillors, police, PCSO to the AGM and users of the
centre can ask and get answers to any questions they raise, and get updates on
local issues and events taking place-
The centre has been used many times for large cultural events including
weddings and funeral rites.
Summary of the main achievements during the period
AGM was held on Friday 5th May 2023.,
Arabic dasses running successfully.
Milad and muharam programs really well attended.,
Sunday gathering on Islamic topics related for the youth. Getting good
attendance with 50 youngsters attending regularly"
New fans put in ladies hall.
The charitys policy on reserves
£50,000 reseNes held for the general Maintenan￿ of the ￿ntre.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Meadows Muslim
Action Group (the charity) for the year ended 31 March 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the acwunts in
accordance with the ￿qU1￿MentS of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section
145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the
applicable Direclions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(51(b) of the
Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I havè completed my examinalion. I wnfimi that no matters have come to my attention
in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material
respect..
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as reqUI￿d by section
130 of the Act., or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concems and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a
proper understsnding of the accounts to be reached.
