Charity registratlon number: 702522
Objectives and Activities
Summary of the purposes of
the charity as set out in its
governing document
Para 1.17
To rescue greyhounds, abandoned or other.
Keeping them in a safe environment at our
kennels. Giving them veterinary care
whenever needed. Our outcome is to
rehome our greyhounds into family homes
ensuring that all checks are fully carried out
by our trustees. such as fencing, garden etc.
Also checks Wlth the family vet & the family
working hours and so on. We take a serious
look at everything In the new home & make
sure that the dogs are going to a safe
responslble loving home. We then help our
new owners wilh any advice they may need
on their new dog. We educate the general
publlc on what happens to many of these
dogs and indeed how easy they are to care
for, quickly adapting to new scenarios as
they are not demanding dog8 and make
wonderful ets.
Greyhounds are rescued from trainers, vets,
police etc. They are rehomed into famlly
homes where we know they will be properly
cared for & safe after our checks have been
carrled out. These dogs would othenvise be
facing being destroyed or passed into
unsuitsble hands. All dogs are
neuteredls
Our trustees educate within the general
public what these dogs eAn face at a very
young age being destroyed or worse etc. We
educate on the ease of ownership of a
greyhound, their personalities and routine
behaviour. This is done wilh regard of the
Charity Commissions guidelines on public
benefit.
Summary of the main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefil, in particular, the
activities, projects or Services
identified in the accounts.

Achievements and Performance
SORP reference
The rescue is still very much in demand with
dogs needing care so we continue to take
them from trainers, poli￿, vets & familles
who cannot cope anymore. Rehabilitation
has been a majorjob this year in particular
two greyhounds that have had abus8 in their
past, they are both now in loving homes. so
the hard work has been worthwhile. We
have rehomed greyhounds whose family
circumstances have changed. Thls year
there has been a rise with this dilemma in
facl it has almost doubled.
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charitvs work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.

Fundraising has not been very successful as
there are still illn8sses with some of our
trustees and our main financial help has
been through the kindness of legacies and
granls.

Para 1.46
Still the rising cost of feed, heating. vets etc
is a massive hit to charities and we are no
different. This is the main reason why
families who already have a greyhound are
struggling financially and we have to step in
to help. We imagine Ihese circumstances will
only get worse as rising costs affect our own
suppliers and the general public. Even our
own premises, keeping it going, has become
expensive due to cost of materials etc. So,
no matter what you have to do, prices are all
affected, which is a bi
hit for eve
one.
