To rescue 8reyhovnds, abandoned or other.
Keeping them In a safe environment at our
kennels. Giving them veterinary care whenever
needed. Our outcome is to rehome our
greyhounds Into famlly homes ensurln8 that all
checks are fully carried out by our trustees, such
as fencin& garden etc. Also check5 With the
famlty vet & the family working hours and so on.
We take a serlous look at everythlng in the new
home & make sure that the dogs are golng to a
safe responslble loving home. We then help our
new owners wtth any advice they may need on
thelr new dog. We educate the general publlc on
what happens to many of these dogs and indeed
how easy they are to care for, qulckly adaptln8 to
new scenarlos as they are not demanding dogs
and make wonderful pets.
Greyhounds are rescued from tralners, vets,
police etc. They are rehomed Into famify homes
where we know they will be properly cared for &
safe after our checks have been carried out.
These dogs would otherwlse be fadng beln8
destroyed or passed Into unsultable hands. All
dogs are neutered/spayed.
Our trustees educate within the general publlc
what Ihese do8s can face at a very young age
bein8 destroyed or worse etG We educate on the
ease of ownershlp of a greyhound. their
personalities and routlne behavlour. Thls Is done
wlth regard of the Charity Commissions
guldelines on publlc benefrt.

We continue to take In greyhounds from the
racln8 industry or wherever. We've had some
difficult sltuatlons this year. from dogs with
broken bones, dogs that needed rehabilitation.
Many families that needed help due tochange of
their circumstances. Greyhound Rescue has
helped these families, of course this has had a
detrimental effect on the dog5 in these
clrcumstances so we rehome them first on our list
as some of them do not cope well In kennels after
belng in a home, sometimes for years.

have been trustees In hospital, operations etc, so
It has been all hands on for the kennels and
running the premises. Our main funds have come
from the kindness of legacies, grants & social
media platforms.

to malntain this rescue.
