The Charity offers a range of services including: supporting unemployed local people into employment by providing advice and guidance, facilitating and providing work experience and training; business development support, including training, advice and guidance to local people considering self-employment and to community and voluntary groups looking to develop social enterprises.
Objects: 4. The Company Is Established To Advance Education And To Relieve Poverty And As Ancillary To The Foregoing Objects:-A) To Promote Training Or Retraining, Particularly Among Unemployed People, And Providing Unemployed People With Work Experience And The Means Of Personal, Social And Skills Development.b) To Promote For The Public Benefit Of Urban Or Rural Regeneration In Areas Of Social And Economic Deprivation (and In Particular The Borough Of Blackburn With Darwen) And Initiate Community Led Regeneration Programmes.c) To Provide Financial Assistance, Technical Assistance Or Business Advice Or Consultancy In Order To Provide Training And Employment Opportunities For Unemployed People In Cases Of Financial Or Other Charitable Need Through Help: (i) In Setting Up Their Own Business, Or (ii) To Existing Businesses And (iii) Social Enterprise And Entrepreneurship.d) The Relief Of Unemployment.e) To Provide Services To Those In Need, By Reason Of Youth, Age, Ill-Health, Disability, Discrimination, Financial Hardship Or Other Disadvantage
