Chase Baptist Church Trustees Report 2023-2024 OVERVIEW I Chase Baptist membership and attendance has had another small increase this year, we are optimistic for the future of the Church. Good controls continue to keep the Church on a good financial footing. The unpaid leadership of 2 Elders and 2 Deacons while the 2 Elders and l Deacon continue to serve as Trustees of the Charity.All leaders and some members are CRB checkedwith l Deacon assigned to look after the process. 2 Food Bank We continue to support the local foodbank with donations from Church members. 3 Overseas Outreach 3.1 Outreach Missions - GENERAL The missionary arm of our Church gave a total of £ 21,354 (See details below) to the two Christian Organisations we support- indigenous work in both Tema, Ghana and NATIVE India (Andra Pradesh). Part of the funding is for schools in both countries, we have helped to establish and continue support. 3.2 Outreach Missions- INDIA- £ 16.670 (2023/2024) The school is in a very poor village village, China Muthevi, Andra Pradesh. It is the only school in the village and is open to all children up the age of 11 years old with about 85 attending. This school is totally ￿nded by Outreach Missions and a Church in Italy, we help and support by paying teachers salaries and school uniforn] and materials. Outreach Missions also supports Indian widows in a number of villages in Andra Pradesh. They receive little help from local government or from their villages, most are illiterate, so are given a very basic education with training in a local trade. 3.3 Outreach Missions- GHANA- £4,684 (2023-2024) The Fountainhead School ( now recognised as a University) is located in Tema. The school is open to all up to the age of 14 and currently has more than 1600 pupils the education cothplex is a major benefit to the local population. The local university which came from the Fountainhead school is now independent, with students now graduating , They also train nurses there. Outreach Missions also supports 3 orphanages and work with the elderly. 4.0 Finance 202312024 4.1 General - Firm budget controls continue and the Church is tun by unpaid volunteer staff, the cash balance remains healthy, our focus is to serve the community through regular times of prayer. 4.2 Reserves- At the end of the 202312024 financial year £ 37,543.91 The reserve is held for . a) Maintenance of Church building e.g. the Church roof is nearly 60 years old and may require repair, replace in the not too distant future. b) Also support for schools in India.
