**Objects:** TO FURTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM A HEARING IMPAIRMENT - SUCH AS PROVISION OF SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN AN ATMOSPHERE SYMPATHETIC TO THE HARD OF HEARING, AND ALLEVIATING THE LONELINESS AND ISOLATION OF PEOPLE WITH A HEARING IMPAIRMENT.

**Activities:** The Club meets once a month to provide social and recreational facilities for the hearing impaired and to keep them informed on services and resources available in an atmosphere sympathetic to the hard-of-hearing.  We have talks, slide shows, outings, craft sessions etc. and, where appropriate, we hire a speech interpretation service where a computer operator types what is being said onto a screen
