**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

The object of the charity is the advancement of the Christian religion on the basis of the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and the New Testament of the Bible  their  authority  and  sufficiency  as  not  only  containing  but  being  in themselves the Word of God and the supreme standard for the rule of faith and practice and  subordinate to them the Westminster  Confession  of Faith and Larger  and Shorter catechisms as a faithful systematic presentation  of the teaching of Holy Scripture. In particular the objects of the trust are: (1) to provide stipend  and  expenses for any  Christian workers  not  being trustees recognized  by  the  trustees  as  fulfilling  the  objects  of  the  Charity.  (2)  to purchase lease or hire or otherwise acquire adapt or improve any freehold or leasehold properties or buildings as Church meeting places or Centres for the purposes of the Charity as the Trustees may from time to time deem necessary

or desirable (3) to lay out monies in insuring to full value maintaining repairing enlarging  or  improving  or  modernizing  any  property  used  or  held  by  the Trustees on behalf of the Charity. (4) to permit the premises and buildings held by the Trustees on behalf of the Charity to be used by Believers professedly holding the Doctrines for the conduct of meetings for the worship of God and the promulgation of Evangelical truth in accordance with the Doctrines and for such ancillary purposes of a religious or charitable nature as the trustees may approve and for any other purposes consistent with the Doctrines. 

The trustees have paid due regard to the Charity Commission Guidance on public benefit in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. In providing accommodation for church meetings open to the public the trust meets the advancement of religion charitable purpose Attendees at services will learn about the Christian Faith and have opportunity to express it in worship and friendship. Those committed to the Christian Faith will also be equipped to express their faith in Christian service and evangelism.

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

The Charity is a religious charity and trust for the advancement of the Christian religion according to its stated doctrinal position. In providing local accommodation for Christian meetings the charity has fulfilled this overarching objective in Stockton- on-Tees. The Trust has responsibly maintained the building at 1 Frederick Street in good condition and can report that the building is in regular use by Christians holding to the doctrines specified in the Trust Deed. In the twelve months under consideration activity has had to be curtailed at various times either because of legal constraints or the pursuit of responsible health and safety practice in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
