We provide varied<br>services and activities to try to assist as<br>many people as possible. The trustees<br>have considered the Commissions<br>guidance on public benefit and, in<br>particular, the specific guidance on<br>charities for the advancement of religion. In<br>particular we try to enable ordinary people<br>to live out their faith as part of our<br>community through: worship, prayer,<br>discipleship, pastoral care, mission and<br>outreach work. Main areas of activity were:<br>Children's Work, Youth Work, Special<br>Events, Visitation, Mission Work, Various<br>Courses, Weekly Drop-ins, School Work,<br>Community Choir and Community Projects.<br>ln addition to these activities the Church<br>held regular weekly services which are<br>open to all. Links have been maintained<br>with other local churches and joint ventures<br>undertaken with them. We have also<br>maintained links with local schools and the<br>wider voluntary and community sector. We<br>have also helped with mission work abroad<br>particularly in lndia and Uganda. To<br>facilitate this work, it is important that we<br>maintain the fabric of The King's Church<br>Thornton Centre.|
