Chair’s Report

Regular hirers returned to hiring post covid-restrictions, we are delighted that a number of new organisations /classes are now using the hall.

We’ve been quite busy making improvements over the past 12 months – here’s a snapshot:

Review of our Hire Charges

At our December meeting, we agreed to review our hire charges in line with similar village hall tariffs. Our current tariff has been in place for some years, so as from April 2022 our prices will increase. However, as valued and regular bookers, from April 2022 we are introducing a 20% discount for all hirers who book 6 or more sessions. After the discount has been applied, your hourly rate will not be dissimilar to your current rate.

Hampton Bishop Villagers’ Association

HBVA continue to meet every 2 months and monitor bookings and our finances, consider actions we must take to maintain the hall in a safe and secure condition, and develop future activities. We have a regular hirers on the committee, Tom Hughes who runs Mordiford Choir. He is an active member and represent hirers interests.
