10|| ## **Statement of the Trustees** Report of the Trustees for the Year Ending 31st March 2024. The Trustees are responsible for preparing the report in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards requiring the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the organisation and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure, for that period. ## **Trustees Report** The Bangladesh Women’s Association was formed to assist the needs of mentally and physically handicapped children and their parents, relief of people in living in necessitous circumstances, providing advice and assistance, education, training and promoting good community relations. In the delivery of our aims, we operate from our own community resource centre located in Coventry Road, Small Heath, Birmingham and work in partnership with several local community, voluntary and public sector organisations. During the 2023-2024 financial year, we have engaged and supported over 390 women with securing their welfare rights, improving their literacy levels and digital knowledge. Our core aims are supporting women to improve their education, training and employability skills. We provide free physical exercise and health and wellbeing programmes to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. We support women to socially interact with wider communities to continue social cohesion. ## **Financial Review and Reserve Policy** Income for the 2023-2024 financial year was £45,532 and expenditure was £44,445. The trustees have examined the charities requirements for reserves considering the main risk to the organisation. The reserves are needed to meet the working capital requirements of the charity and the trustees are confident that at this level they would be able to continue their current activities in the event of reduced funding. ## **Moving Forward Plan** In the sustainable development of the Association, the trustees will: Continue to build on strengthening partnership working. Seek revenue funding to deliver essential community activities.
