The objectives of the trust are..
a) to promote any Charitab￿ purposes
wrthin the fomier di0￿se of
Wakefield, which are in need of
spiritual or material assistance by
reason of social or economic changes
with a view to reinforcing Ihe work of
the Church of England among the
people of that area.
b} To promote and assist the charitable
work ofthe Church Urban Fund.
In planning for activity for the year the
Trustees considered the impact on the
wider community (for the public benefit) of
the grants made.
The key aim of the trust remains to support
locally based projects where mission not
Maintenan￿ is the mainstay of church lrfe.
During the year 30 grant applications were
considered and grants (in full or in reduced
amounts) were awarded to all 30
applicants.
The Trustees met visually on two occasions
using Zoom software - a practi
established during the Covid pandemic and
continued for convenien￿.
The Trustees are aware of and have
considered the guidance issued by the
Chartty Commission on public benefit.

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINATION OF THE BISHOPS DEVELOPMENT FUND FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2023** 

I have examined the documents and financial records provided to me for The Bishop’s Development Fund for the year ended 30 June 2023.
