The charity hL8 eontinued in its p)licies of providing recreational and other leisure facilities of a high standard
and as economicauy as possible. The Charity seeks to encourage hiBh levels of use by the commuDity with
policies that encourage wide pblic access. Th¢r¢ has been no material change in these ptslicies over the
relevant period.
A further objeGI of the charity is lo prornole and preserve 8¢)od physical and m¢ntal healt￿ The objective is
pursued by ¢ncouraging high levels of use of recreational and l¢isure facilities by the community. In additio

and has seen A very good uptske. specifically from families of ¢hildr¢n on frce ￿h0o] meals. On Coacbed admissions
we have over 2.750 children benefiting from this each week.
The English lDstilulc ol Sw)n- she￿ie1d continues to be the home for GB Boxing, GB Paro Badminlott, GB Para
Table Tennis and GB Goalball along with Sheffield Hallam University's Sport and Physical Activity aGad¢mi¢
learning. At Ponds Forge International Sports Centre (ISC), the swimming clubs have prepared to enter the Otympi¢
year with various athletes Aiming to be in Pari5 2024. The U¢ilita Arena Sheffield is Ihc home of the Eli* lee Hockey

Essenlid maintenance work has been undertakgn on various fa¢ilities in partnership with Sheffield City Council. In
July 2023, the competition pool al Poftds Fur&te ISC w&9 closed for an eibvht-week period for planned essential
Main￿nanCe. and in November 2023. Heeley Swimming pool was eloscd for 5 week5, for the same purpose.

Golf has continued 8ainitt8 in its popularity, as it allows exercise while ouigide and socialising with frieftds. This hos
had a posittve effect on the usgge of all five of the chariry's cour5¢5.

Elite Ice Hockey LeaRu¢ Continued lo play a major p8rt of Ihe events programme with Ihe QllEoiug partnership with
th¢ Sheffteld Sieeler5. This year. tO8eiher with the Sieelers. the Uiilita Arena Sh¢tTi¢ld bosted 37 games and
welcomed 260.190 faA8, predominanily from ihe I￿al Sheffield area. This included the Elite League Challenge Cup
Final. The Inlemational Ice H(xkey Federation {llHF) hav¢ r¢¢ently reported that. th¢ venue was the 18th most
atteDded ice hockey sladium in Europe improvuw frojll last ye•r of 24ttL The venue continue5 to be ihe number on¢

Our involvement in the Healthy Activities and Food (HAF) proEratnme has again been extensive. with over 10,000

holiday weeks. This delivery has seen children leaTning to swim and learning to skate. a$ well as partllering with

The charity dees not set targets for grottt giving as it is a comparauvely small pan of the work undertaken. A5 slated
above, the provision and mnnngement of the fELcilities is the primary method of meeting the ObJ￿Ls of the charity.
The trustees monitor the level of fuftds in the desipted ftwd (see note 4 of the fitwicial statements) in order i

7 Hills Leisure Trust bas not traded in the year and the objective of the chariry in the year was to allow the ordvly
wind up ol the charity. On 29 March 2Q23. the charity. together with its (kintwit subsidiary, 7 Hills Coullnercial
Limited knd SIV Enterprise5 Limit¢d ¢n￿red Member5 Volunthry Liquidolions (MVL).
In March 2024. the fmal ¢oupons were paid on the Cjwity's Luxembourg-lisied debi seGuTities. Tle Cbariry ceased
lo be & listed company at that time and is no longer subject to the securiiies laws and regula110￿ which apply to
companies with publicly traded bonds.

During the year, the management teams at each venue have again discussed thc risks identified with the mernbers of
the Senior leadership team and have ensured that proper CODtrols are in placc wiihin thcir venu¢. They have also
¢onsidered eacli of the objectives s¢¢ for th¢ v¢nue in th¢ coryx)ral¢ 5trdL¢gy of the Lharity lo ensure tha¢ the risks a
linked into the operational objectives and that the process of Tisk mitioation is embedded in the aGtion plans to deliv¢T
Ihe obj¢¢tives. This work of monitorin8 and miligarin8 risks within ihe venues conTinues to ￿ a major tssk of the
general man8ger at each venue. The senior leaderthip ream regularly considers corpornte risk in its meetings and

which were constructed for th¢ 1991 World Stttdent Games, Under the Shortfall Fundin8 A8Teemertt. Sheffield
City Council provided the fijnds required to repay the tharily's £140.25 million bonds and the inlercsi on lh¢ bonds.
Additionally, Sheffield City Trttst entered into a Funding Agreement with Sh¢ffi¢ld City Council on 31 March
2022 to provid¢ th¢ fund$ and cashllow $upport necess￿ to support the financial position of the charity until its
solv¢nt liqiiidation.
