benefrt of the residents of Bolton-l&Sandsand its5urrounding area. The rnanagement committeeaimto provide
first class hall facilities at an affordable cost to vduntary organisations servicing the community-
The charity has two preferred providers of deaning and caretsking seNces, both on a flexlble self employed
basis. In addition. it also depend5 uwn voiunteer5from the I￿1 community and committee membeis.
Bohon-le-sands Village Hall Is a member of Community Future5.
Financial revlew
In conjunrtion with our Mission Statement the trusteès aim is to continually promote the interests of thevillage
Hall / Community Centre. To raise the necessary funds to keèp the building and its contents in good working
condition. To continue to keep it atthe heart of the wllage life, forthe benefft of all the local community and to
enhance the facllltles available to bring forward a better quality of life for the community.

THE COV11>19 PANOEMIC YEAA
This financial year has been extraordinary due to impart of the CovwJ-19 virns restrictions applied by HMG.
The H311 was onty open for 11 weeks, during the 52 week year, and then on a very restricted basis. Covid secure
procedures were in opèrntion atall times. The effect on the income from Hire char8e5wa5 significant. The major
bequest from Betty Cottam and HMG Business wpport grants have been extremely welcome and more than
made up for the shortfa15 in hirin8 fee5.

The enforced closure of the hall, for hiring purp)ses. provided a wndow for the pr(yaramme of major
mainterbance to be completed. During the closu￿. other non-planned repairs, replacements and maintenan
had to be undertaken.

Re-surface the main Hall floor

I must record my appreciation to all those willing volunteers who have worted so hard (Iver the past yearto
upgrade our Village Hall. Whilst it could not happen without such a strong team I must commend Mike Ashton.

I need also to expres5 my gratitude to Sharman Robinson, our Bookings Secretary, for her commitment to
such a huge and time consuming operation that is so vital to the SU￿5$￿1 running of the Village Hall.
It IS the fervent hope of us a15 that the Community cent￿ will be pemiitted to resume its central place wf(hin
village life as soon a5 Safely possible after the present enforced closure due to the CoMd-19 pandemic has
ended.

Council as Custodian Trustee who also own the land on which the Hall stands). The Hall is

utensils, cutlery and crockery, fully fitted kitchen appliances etc. These assets are insured for

Centre (the Community Centrel for the year ended 31st March 2021.

As the charity trustees of the Community Centre you are responsrble for the preparation of the atcounts in
accordance with the requiiements of the ChaTitie5 Act 2011 I'the ACVI.
I report in respect of my examination of the Communtty Centre's accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all thè applicable DirettTrons given bythe Chority
Commission under section 14515llbl of the ACL
