Structure, Governance and Management The charity is governed bya constitution adopted on 31 March 1978 (amended January 20211. The charity is managed by a board of trustees who are responsible for the overall control and strategic direction of the organisation. Trustees are appointed in line with the governing document and serve on a voluntary basis. Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meeting. New trustees receive appropriate induction to support them in their role. The trustees meet regularlyto over88e the running ofthe club on a monthly basis and ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place. 3. Oblectives and Activities The charity's objects are: To help children and young people, particularly through leisure-time activities. to develop their capabilities and grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society. The charity achieves this by: Providing sports and recreational activities Offering a safe space foryoung people Supportingthe wellbeing and development of children and young people in the local community 4. Achievements and Performance During the year, the club: Delivered regular training sessions and activities for local children and young people Provided access to facilities and safe spaces for recreation Supported approximately 220 young people from the Briton Ferry and surrounding areas Delivered our annual Festival, attended by 82 teams with approximately 1,200 people attending over 2 days, raising the Club's prof ile and giving children between the ages of 5 to 11 the opportunity to compete The trustees believe these activities have: Improved wellbeing and confidence Encouraged positive social interaction Provided constructive use of leisure time 5. Flnanclal Revlew During the financial year: Total income: £71.700 Main income sources: donations, fundraising, etc. Total expenditure: £65,640. The charity's financial position remains stable. with income primarily derived from donations, fundraising, etc. [Expenditure was focused on delivering activities and maintaining facilities. 6. Reserves Policy The charity maintains reserves to ensure it can continue to operate and meet its commitments. The trustees aim to hold sufficient reserves to cover approximately 6 months of running costs. Atthe year end. reserves stood at £13.552. 7. Publlc Benefit Statement The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty under section 17 ofthe Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. The charity provides sports. recreational activities and facilities for children and young people in the local community. The Charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: Examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act. To follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(6) of the Charities Act), and To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
