Flnancifdl Position and Future Activitieg
Thc financial position of the Charity is a strong on¢ with net assets at 31Bt March. 2022 amounting to
£3,659,630 {2021- £3,449,826).
Total incom¢ during the year amounted to £94,826 {2021- £84,506). of which £36,510 (2021- £33.975) wa5
applied to management cxpense5 of the Charity leaving a balance of £58.316 (2021- £50,531).

Trustees, responsibillties in relation to the flnancial statements
The charity trustees are responslble for preparing a iTus¢ces' report and financial statemcnts in accordance
with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standarth (Unitcd Kingdom Gencrally Acc¢p*d
Accounting Pr4Ctice).
The law applicable to charitics in En8laDd and Wales requircs the charity trustees to prepare financial
Stalements for each year which 8ive a tTue and fair view of the sta* of affalrs of the charity and of the

The trustees att responsible for k¢eping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy
at any time the financtal position of the charity and to cnable them to ensure that the financial staternents
comply with th¢ Charities Act 2011, the applicable Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulation5, and the
provisions of thc TTUSt deed. They are a150 responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and takin8
T¢asonable stq)s for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
Appolntment and TraiTJing ofTrust
Ncw trustees are appointed on the recommendation of an existin8 trustee and with the approval of the trn$lees'
meeting.

B￿rd of Mgnagement Trn$t￿￿
Ai the At]nual General Meeting a Board of Truste¢s shall be el¢cted. Additional or alternative appointments
may be made at an Extraordloary General Mccting.
It shall consist of not I￿S than five members one of whom shall be the Vicar of Hessle for the time
being and one shall be a representative of Trinity Howe Hvll. The Board shall have the power to co-
opt members.
It shall meet at least twice per year {nom￿llY March and (ktober). Additional meetings may be hcld,
if necded.

Policies
The Trustees regard the whole of the income as available to meet the objects of the trust. There is no
intention to build up reserves. In this connection, profits (and losses) on the sal¢ of investments are
not regarded as income, how¢Ycr, although the Charity's govcrning d￿llments allow both th¢ income
from investments and the investhients themselves to be applied for thc aims of thc tru51 Donetheless
the tntstees considerthe iDveslment portfolio to be held in thc nature of a singlc permanent endowment.
The investments are actively mgna£ed on the advice of stLKkbrokers with a view to preserving the real
value of the funds whilst at the same time maintainin8 the incorne available for charitable purposes.
All donations lo be made ate approved at the regulgr meetillgs of the trustees.

Basis of accouutiug
These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at cost
or transaction value unless othenvise stated in the relevant notes ￿ thes¢ accounts.
The accounts have been prepared in accordancc with the Statement of Recornmended Practtce:
Accounting and Reporting by CharAti¢s preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicablc in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issucd on 16 July, 2014
and with the Charities Aci 2011.
The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102.
Investment ineome

Charitable payments are accounted for when 8pproved by the trustcc$.
Other income and expenditure costs are accounted for on an accruals basi5. Due to the naturc and
