Tor Lodge and Applecross Trust

The trust again performed well in 2020 and continued its support for the training needs of the foundry industry.

Grant applications were reduced due to the impact of Covid 19 on training centres and facilities, although some courses run online were supported. The trust supported a range of courses and learning activities and a broad range of students were supported, including the continued support of apprentices at the new National Foundry Training Centre in a key move for the industry, there being a good indication of future cohorts beyond the 2 currently running. Income was in line with expectations and the fund grew with good investment strategies employed by CCLA as fund managers.

The accounts were prepared and checked in line with the requirements of the charities commission by A Turner and Sylvia Cahill and approved by the trustees in the form attached to this report.
