Charitable activities
The Foundab"on not only owns the school premises and surrounding lartds but oLJnbnues to support the school to
preserve and enha[￿ the fabriG of the buiklings as part of the ongoing rna1ntenan￿ plan WOTking closely with the
schwl Finan￿ and Estates & F￿111b"eS team. The agreed cost split continues to remain a 500h contiibution from the
Foundation fvnds wtth the remainder coming from the schcK)Ls' (Mn budget The main items of expenditure for tl)is
financial year induded the finalisation of the repl￿ment of gymnasium knr. the ongoing payr￿nt of computer
leases, the Calladine boiler, and the funding and laund) of the first UK stste schools. digita] archive (named the
Behenna Archive after its first Heay T￿her) with support from The National Archwes in Kew.
The Foundation watmly welcorn￿ the appointrnent of The Rev Canon Rowena King as the rep￿ntatIVe of the

The LCHS@50 SU￿)mn1ttee celebrated the 50th annNersary of ￿n[￿e￿$T￿e edU￿b"On on site when four
Lincoln schwls merged to fomi Lin(x)In Christ's Hospital School over 3 days from 13 September 2024. Celebratory
activities included the alx)ve-ment1or￿d digttal arthive launth with fTEmber5 of the Behenna farnily with local
dignrtaries and rned￿ in attendan￿. UpFEr and lower schwl students buri￿1 time txpsules, presentations.
exhibitions. lours and various entertainments provKled by Ihe pupils ensured that the long weekend was a roaring
Suc￿$ Wbth over 1500 visitors from over 30 countries atteThJing the g*(N)l. The school and ts students featured in
various BBC programmes and I￿21 publintions. A Soth anniversary badge was designed by a year 7 student and
all students and the whole school (yjmfftuntiy t￿lved a grft frDm the Foundation of Chrisfs Hospital at Lincoln to
mark the speaal occasion.
A legacy programme has arisen from ts LCHS@50 cxyMMrtt￿ induding pkdged donations. new Foundation
govemors, ￿reer$ assistance to the Sth￿l. arthive rroterials aThl an annual art prize a￿ngst other activities.
The Foundation donated sums of nK￿eY totslling £63.975 (a d￿se from 2024) to sbjdents to enable them to
continue their undergraduate ￿u￿tiOn in accordan￿ wrth the tharity's main obpcbve. A veriffcAtion and grants
policy protocol wnfirtTEd that the r4uests were genuine and the aspirations realistiG. The students used these
funds for a variety of rea9)ns. mainty for items of equipmen( bcKJks and travel assistan￿ relat￿￿ to their ongoing
studies, bul throughout 2023124 m(￿e requests were forthcoming reL8ting to spiralling a¢X£)mrT￿Iation LL)sts. Many
students woukl have been unable to extend and ¢(￿plete their education without the Foundation's ongoing
assistance. It is likaty that a small donab.on V￿11 bg received from Ihe rbCVI defvn¢X Old Lin￿InianS Edu￿tion Fund to
assist further in this area.
The Garton archivist funded by the Foundatson cLJntinues to prepare and distribute various ¢xx2sional papers and
presentatDns to the wblic throughoLrt this ac(x>unling perKxJ wtth the arthNes being OPEned on a regular basis for
academic research, journalists. authors and rrEmbers of the public. Two assistant arChiv￿t$ have been appointed to
the Garton Archive to enable the C￿￿tinUatiOn of work especjalty rekkn.ng to the ￿"r￿oI￿ Chrisfs Hospital Girfs. High
Schwl (both are ex-LHS alumn*l.

Russial. 4.1% Commercial P￿perty, Attemative Investments 10.5% aThl Cash 0.7%. This portfolio with rebjrns arKI
the risk wlicy are reviewed on a regular basis by the Foundakn's Finan￿ Committee.
