Activities

The Educational Foundation uses its income to help young people under the age of 25 who live within the parish of St Anthony's Church, Cartmel Fell. It provides assistance in purchasing text books, tools and other equipment necessary for their education. It also supports communal events for children to help foster friendship and community relations in a widespread rural area.

Objects: Out Of The Net Yearly Income Of The Foundation The Trustees May First Allocate Such Yearly Sum As They Think Fit, Being Not More Than One Quarter Of The Said Net Income, For Application In Making Payments To The Managers Of Any Maintained Primary School At Which Education Is Provided For Pupils Resident In The Parish Of Cartmel Fell For Disbursement In Or Towards The Cost Of Provision For The School Or Its Pupils Of Such Special Benefits, Of Any Kind Not Normally Provided By The Local Education Authority, As May From Time To Time Be Agreed Between The Trustees And The Managers Of The Said School. The Residue Of The Said Net Income Of The Foundation Shall Be Applied By The Trustee In Any Of The Following Ways For The Benefit Of Persons Of Either Sex Who Have Not Attained The Age Of 25 Years, Who (or Whose Parents Or One Or Other Of Them) Are, Or Have Been At Any Time For A Period Of Not Less Than Two Years, Resident In The Ancient Township And Parish Of Cartmel Fell, And Who, In The Opinion Of The Trustees Are In Need Of Financial Assistance.
