## Historically the Charitable Trust comprises: 

1. The Charity of Dorothy Bulkeley, in the former Manor or Lordship of Cheadle founded by deed dated 27 August 1669 and comprised in a Scheme of the Charity Commissioners of 17 April 1931; 

2. The Charity called the Lads’ Club Fund in the former Wards of Cheadle and Gatley (as constituted on 7 June 1922) of the former Urban District of Cheadle and Gatley, regulated by a Scheme of the Commissioners of 18 June 1940 

The above two Charities were amalgamated into a single Charity by a Scheme dated 5[th] November 1982.

Assisting persons under the age of 25 years who are:

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Four successful applicants from the 2021 AGM had received £435, £400, £150 and £49 respectively. They had also provided proof of purchases.  A further candidate had been granted £2,000 to attend the Under 21 Lacrosse Championship held in Limerick, Ireland.  Due to the Covid pandemic the Championships had been postponed in 2019, 2020 and 2021, but went ahead in August 2022. The candidate represented the England National Team and was deemed to be one of the outstanding players of the tournament. 

The Trustees were also able to split funds received from a legacy between the CCLA and a low to medium risk managed fund.

**Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** 

**Details of any funds materially in deficit** 

Assets are held with (1) COIF Investment and (2) Platform Investments. The dividends from these funds are used annually to support successful applicants. Unused funds are held over to the following year for the next batch of applicants. £135,000 was invested during the year with Platform Investments. Due to market volatility and the economic situation in the UK these fell to £116,081 by the end of the financial year (18 July 2022)
