Report for Charity Commissioners for England and Wales. 2024/25

Charity No:525844

Previously known as Free Grammar School is now know as:

Frodsham Church of England Primary School Educational Foundation (525844)

The correspondence address: Rev Elaine Atack The Vicarage Vicarage Lane Frodsham Cheshire WA6 7DU

List of Trustees, please see attached.

This year we had resignations from two of our Trustees and therefore have elected two new Trustees. The Trustees are recruited from members of the Church, Churchwardens, teaching staff from the Church School.

The remit of the Feoffees Charity as an Educational Charity, is to support with financial help, where appropriate, the work of the Church of England School.

Traditionally the Trustees of the Feoffees meet twice a year, February/March and September.

At the February/March meeting we will have received an application from the School for financial support for various items /activities. This request is discussed and considered and if funding is approved will notify the school accordingly.

The timescales for their request and our decision has been agreed with the School as their academic year and financial year differ so it is important that funding is in place to enable the school to set their budget for the upcoming academic year.

We meet in September to discuss any issues arising during the previous months and to check that financial details are in order.

We invite the Head Teacher from the School to our September meeting to meet the Trustees and to hear how the grant has been used.

We also provide Bibles for those pupils leaving the school to move onto higher education, and Prayer Cubes for the new intake of Primary School children each school year.
