Charlty governance
The charlty was registered on 11 September 1973 and is governed by a lease dated I lune 1966. The
chorlty Is an unlncorporated associatlon, with trustees being appolnted or reappointed onnually at
the Annual General Meetlng.
Charlty oblectlve
The objective of the Wolverley Playin8 Fleld Assoclatlon Is manage the facility located at Mlll Lane.
Wofverley, for the purp05e5 of playing fields, for the use of the inhobitants of Wolverley and the
nelghbourhood without any distinctlon of sex or of political or rell8iOU5 or other opinlons, and In
particular for use for such forms of physical recreation and lei5ure-tlme occupatlon a5 are or may
from tlme to tlme be approved under the lease with the object of improving the conditions of life for
sald inhabitants.
Charlty actlvlties
The main activity of the charity is to lease the faciltty to local sportlng clubs wlthin Wolverley and the
neighbourhood so that the charity objertive can be met. During the period. the newW formed
Wolverley FC has become partner through their use of the playing fields on a regular ba515 and in
furtherance of the Charity's objects.

Charlty achievement5 during the period
The regular use of the playing fields by Wolverley FC has enabled the Charity to provide the best
Infrastructure p055ible to those local to Wolverley to play football in particular and will allow u5 to
expand to other sports as the demand arises.
Durlng thls period, the charity was awarded a grant from the Football Foundation to allow it to
Invest In new football goals for use by Wolverley FC. whlch in conjunction with a grant received from
the Big Local OYIO organlsation, enabled the football club to get off to a strong financial beginning.
At the end of December 2023, the trustees are pleased to report that the charlty Is ln a strong
position to move fonyard and make further investment in the infrastructure.
Flnancial Re¥lew & Charlty pollcy regardlng reserves
The cash at bank and in hand at 31 December 2023 was £8,737 IDec 2022.. £5,641) in unrestrlcted
funds. The charity achleved a surplus of £2.315 (Dec 2022: £7,708 lossl. The funds are held to cover
operational costs, meet any UnfO￿Seen expendlture and to help the charlty further Improve Its
Infrastructure.
