## Annual General Meeting 

2 October 2024 

## Apologies for absence 

Apologies received from. Liz Dodman. Collen Graham, Sian Dent, Peter Jones. 

Approval of minutes from the AGM held on the 22 November 2023 

The minutes were proposed by the Chair and seconded by Anne Marie Roberts. They were then signed in to the record. 

## Acceptance of the statement of the accounts 

The statement of accounts was presented by the District Treasurer, Karen Williams. Proposed to be accepted by Sue Lister and seconded by Mike Meadows Approved by the meeting. 

## Approval of the District Commissioner’s nomination for Chairperson 

The District Commissioner (DM) nominated Nicky Morris for the post of District Chairperson. 

All presents were in agreement. DC then explained that Nicky has signaled that she wishes to step down from the post as soon as possible due to personal circumstances. The meeting agreed to the Trustees appointing a new chair until the next AGM. 

## Nomination and approval of District Treasurer 

Karen Williams indicated that she would remain in post until the end of this financial year. This was accepted by the meeting with the Trustees looking to find a new Treasurer. The meeting agreed theat ther District Financial Year will be April to March each year. The Trustees are to appoint a new independent examiner as the current one is unable to continue in role.

Sue Lister, Mike Meadow,. Paul Forret, Liz Dodman, Joanne Brigs, Rob Hilton.

Appointment of Independent scrutineer

## Election of representative to to the Area Scout Council 

Rob Hilton. 

Proposed by Mike Meadows and seconded by Ian McLean 

## Election of Members for the Cox Wood Sub Committee 

Sue Lister, Mike Meadows, Gerry Lister, Ian McLean, Bob Hodges. 

Adoption of the Constitution in POR 

Proposed by the Chair and accepted by the attendees
