Congratulations to each and everyone of you for the achievements and successes we have accomplished. The Welsh & English pantomime was held on the showground for the very first time and true to form excellent entertainment was performed. The bar proved very successful especially on the last night.

COUNTY CHAIRMAN REPORT ADRODDIAD CADEIRYDD Y SIR

And just like that the year is done and we are at our 2025 AGM which seems crazy as I only feel like I was standing here a second ago taking over as the new chair. It has been a privilege and an honour to serve as County Chairman of Pembrokeshire YFC over the past year. Although this has been a challenging and emotional time for both myself and my family, the support, kindness, and encouragement I have received from the county team of officials, staff, and members has meant more than I can put into words. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for standing by me and for helping to ensure that Pembrokeshire YFC has continued to thrive.

Miss Terrie Savage

I’d like to extend my thanks to Nicky Williams as our County President, you’ve been great company throughout the year and have made this job a lot easier so I thank you for that.

We kick start the year with our county harvest festival which moves round the clubs year on year giving everyone a chance to host. Eglwysywrw was the host this time with donations going to the Welsh Air Ambulance as well as food donations going to cardigans food bank . It was a lovely service and was well attended by all with fresh sandwiches after.

Next up was the Eisteddfod in Haverfordwest High, it’s been fantastic to see this competition continue to grow year on year which is a joy to watch. Congratulations to Nia Lewis, Llysyfran YFC for winning the Chair and to Fflur James, Eglwyswrw YFC for winning the Crown at the County Eisteddfod as well as Fishguard winning over all.

Whitland Mart was the next stop for our members competing in the Winter Fair with a jam-packed timetable as always well done to all who braved the cold and competed.

As always with Pembrokeshire weather we are always keeping a close eye on the forecast especially over December time where our members get their dicky bow ties out and sequins on. With Gail force winds hitting our county we had to push our queen’s ball to the week after giving our junior members full rein of the dance floor the night before the seniors. It was a great success to which I have to thank Tom, Owain and the crew for adapting to the sudden date change. With one queen ball comes another 2 with most of our members travelling up to the other venues throughout the year taking full opportunity of how other counties party!

My favourite competition of the year was the English public speaking held in Pembrokeshire College. The standard as always was very high and judges were quick to praise the talent of our members and clubs. January saw clubs preparing tirelessly for the panto, with 11 clubs competing between the English and Welsh sector but before clubs took to the stage in February, it was time for the Welsh Public Speaking Day held at Canolfan Hermon. We had a fantastic number of

8

members competing across all four sections and it was excellent to see clubs competing in the Welsh competition for the first time. As fishguard school were having renovations done to their stage it was time for pembs yfc to build our own and take the opportunity of hosting and taking the big plunge in building our very own panto venue in the brithdir hall! We had so much support across the county making the sleepless nights and countless decisions all worth it, thanks to all our supporters and sponsors who made it all happen.

Big congratulations to our senior member; Rhys Jones and Junior member; Ianto Evans, both are fantastic ambassadors for the movement and I wish you all the best in the rest of your year in the role. Abergwaun and Brawdy Hayscastle represented Pembrokeshire at the Wales Talent Finals in Llanelli at the beginning of March and then members from across the county had a successful day at the Wales public speaking day in Builth, winning the English Brainstrust competition, English junior speaking best speaker going to Sara Gwilliam and to Amy winning the senior situations vacant competition.

This past year has shown, more than ever, the strength of our organisation – not just in competitions, events, and achievements, but in the way our members and officials support one another. I for one would not have been able to attend the events I have without the support from you all, my you family. A big thank you and show of appreciation to Owain, you work tirelessly so events such as rally and panto run accordingly. You are one of a kind and I’m so glad Pembs YFC is in such safe hands, you truly are amazing and I don’t think this organisation could run the way it does without you.

It has been heartening to see clubs across the county working together, providing opportunities for young people, and showcasing everything that makes YFC such a special movement, having been part of this organisation for such a long time I have seen so many of you grow in enthusiasm and strength just like I did, it remind me of what YFC is all about, enjoying every club night, every stage show, public speaking at local level, wales or national the memories and skills that we carry throughout our lives.

To my fellow county officials and the wider team – thank you for your dedication, hard work, and patience. Your guidance and support has been invaluable, and it has been a pleasure to work alongside you.

As I step down from my role, I would like to wish the new team of officials every success in the year ahead. My advice is simple: take every opportunity that YFC gives you – whether big or small – because each one will help you grow, create lasting friendships, and make unforgettable memories.

Pembrokeshire YFC has an exciting and bright future, and I am confident that with the passion and commitment of its members and leaders, it will continue to go from strength to strength.

Thank you once again for giving me the opportunity to serve as your County Chairman. It has been a funny year for me but to have the support from my fellow county team really has taken the pressure off me and has made me feel still so valued as a member.

COUNTY ORGANISER REPORT ADRODDIAD TREFNYDD Y SIR

It’s been another whirlwind year for Pembrokeshire YFC, and what a year it has been! From competitions and socials to new ventures and old traditions, the county’s young people have once again shown just how much can be achieved when community spirit leads the way.

Competitions remain the heartbeat of the YFC calendar. Over the past twelve months, members have dazzled in everything from the Eisteddfod and Winter Fair to public speaking contests, pantomimes, sports, and the much-loved Rally Day. Each event brought fresh challenges, laughter, and camaraderie, proving that YFC life is never dull.

Mr Owain Lewis

But it wasn’t just competitions that filled the diary. The social calendar was just as lively, with the Queen & Male Ambassador Ball and the Rally Dance proving unforgettable highlights. Between them, these two evenings not only provided plenty of sparkle and dancing but also raised an incredible £23,000 for county funds. Even Storm Darragh couldn’t dampen the fun—when the weather forced the Queen’s Ball to be postponed, members pulled together to rearrange the weekend and even discovered a new format that worked brilliantly for all ages.

The Pantomime competition was another shining moment. What began as an ambitious idea — transforming a shed into a theatre—turned into a roaring success. Thanks to creative producers, supportive sponsors, and the enthusiasm of members, the week was full of laughter and applause, leaving everyone eager for more.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the volunteers and parents who steward events, run the bars, or step up at a moment’s notice when challenges arise. Their efforts keep the YFC community safe, organised, and thriving—an “army of volunteers” in the truest sense.

Membership has held steady, with more intermediate and senior members getting involved this year. The Youth Forum continues to give young voices a platform, while social media followers on Facebook and Instagram are steadily climbing—proof that the wider community loves to keep up with YFC news.

Support from local businesses and organisations has been heartwarming. From generous sponsorships and donations to partnerships with the NFU and FUW, the county has rallied around its young people. At the County Show, the YFC stand once again welcomed special visitors to its new location on the showground.

With a brand-new website on the horizon, strong finances, and a trusty YFC van that’s already proved its worth, the movement is in great shape for the year ahead.

Here’s to another year of Pembrokeshire YFC—where hard work, laughter, and community spirit always shine through.

Diolch yn fawr i bawb am bob cymorth a chefnogaeth.

WALES YFC REPORT

Most of another year in the history of the Wales Federation of Young Farmers Clubs has quickly flown by.

Since Rhys’s report last year, we had another successful Royal Welsh Show with around 1,000 members competing and showing their talents to an audience of thousands across the four days. The packed calendar of competing continues from strength to strength across 96 annual competitions, and it’s great to see members making the most of these opportunities to develop confidence and skills across all counties within Wales.

We again had great interest and a strong number of applicants

----- Start of picture text -----
Mr Dewi Davies
----- End of picture text -----

from members who wished to take advantage of the Wales YFC travel programme, to broaden horizons and create global contacts. We strongly believe in providing varied provision for our members, and alongside individual and group travel, this year we offered a new opportunity for fifty members to go on a YFC cruise. We know our members are always keen for a trip, and in October the annual Rural Affairs Committee study tour was held, and we had a good time exploring farms and rural businesses in north-east Scotland.

Our movement’s presence to represent our membership’s interest is one of our core values, and we are fortunate to have opportunities to have our say on current matters that affect our society, including rural policies and youth opportunities. During the year, numerous staff and officers have been participating in meeting, committees and discussion groups, and it is encouraging to see acknowledgement of our contributions outside the movement.

We’re fortunate to have members and a staff team who are enthusiastic and give their best to ensure the movement thrives and responds to the needs of our 5,500 members. We were pleased to receive good news at the start of the year that we have received a Quality Mark for Youth Work in Wales, a great example of external recognition of the work our movement does with young people across Wales.

The British Heart Foundation is my charity of choice for this year, and support for the campaign so far has been amazing. On the day of the Wales YFC committee meetings in January, members had the opportunity to partake in 15-minute CPR training, and in February clubs across Wales supported the ‘Go Red’ campaign to raise awareness and support the charity. We look forward to the ‘Get Wales Walking’ challenge in August!

The YFC calendar is a busy one and I’ve seen that for myself during my time attending events and activities across Wales and beyond. Thank you to all our members, and the movement’s wider community who are always ready to contribute at whatever needs doing to ensure the future of the movement. On a personal note, it is a privilege to be the chairman of an organisation that contributes so much to our communities, and the opportunities and skills that this movement gives, ensuring that we develop and create good citizens.

Remember to follow us on the social media channels to keep up with the latest news and opportunities!

NFYFC PRESIDENT REPORT ADRODDIAD LLYWYDD FFCCFFI

I was delighted to be elected as NFYFC’s President earlier this year. It's a huge honour, especially as I've been involved with the organisation at all levels throughout my life. Indeed, it was the skills I gained through YFC that led me to many other interesting and worthwhile opportunities, for which I am greatly indebted.

I first joined Newton St Cyres YFC in Devon, where eventually I became Club Chair – one of the toughest roles you can have as you’re amongst your peers who all know you! After that came County, Area, and national chairmanships before becoming President of the European Organisation.

Developing the skills and confidence to do these roles and all that follows is where YFC excels.

----- Start of picture text -----
Mr John Lee, OBE DL
----- End of picture text -----

The YFC Competitions programme looks just as good, and is as important today, as it was when I was a member.

Brainstrust was always my favourite competition. It was less formal than debating, but it taught valuable skills for confidently delivering a few words spontaneously. A skill I've found myself relying on many times, as I am sure you will in the future!

There is also teamwork that comes from being involved in competitions and other YFC events. Whether that’s representing your club at the county rally or competing in a team at a national final. That’s the joy of YFC, and there’s much to be gained just from taking part – so get involved, get stuck in, and enjoy all that YFC has to offer.

With so much going on, there’s something for everyone. It doesn’t matter in the slightest where you come from, what you believe in or who you are. There’s a place in YFC for everyone.

While you don’t have to be a farmer to be a Young Farmer, the organisation’s role in championing agriculture and rural life should not be underestimated. As the UK continues to shape policy post-Brexit, your voice has never been more important. So don’t be afraid to speak up, use the skills that YFC has taught you and help shape your future.

I am always impressed with the incredible work that YFCs do to support their local communities. From the huge fundraisers to the community projects – they all

positively demonstrate the impact of YFC on others. This generosity of spirit can greatly enhance YFC members' personal wellbeing as well.

It also makes me proud to be your President, to support our officers and to represent the organisation. I hope to see many more of you enjoying all the benefits of membership over the coming year.

John Lee OBE DL NFYFC President 2024-25

CLUB REPORTS ADRODDIADAU'R CLYBIAU Ll BtrtEr¢ 37

BRAWDYHAYSCASTLE

Our tenth anniversary year has seen us go from strength to strength, building from last year’s success to achieve our highest membership and our biggest achievements yet. Club officials were Rhys Jones Chairman, Adam George Vice-Chair, Cerys Jones Secretary, Becky Wadia Treasurer, Callum Robertson Assistant Secretary and Elinor James Junior

Lead/Representative. Our Opening Social, welcomed returning members and more new members of all ages, before the Pembrokeshire YFC AGM, where Adam won the County award for Best Chairman and Cerys for Best Secretary. Toby Draper was elected Chair of the County Youth Forum.

We had some exciting club outings going bowling at Phoenix Bowl, and a trip to Haverfordwest Fire Station to test ourselves at fire drills and donate them a hamper. We entered a Sketch in the Eisteddfod as well as homework competitions, and entered competitions throughout the day at Winter Fair. Members were honoured to lay a wreath at the Hayscastle Remembrance service. December was a busy month for competitions and events. We entered every English Public Speaking competition, with a third for Elinor, Emmie and Celt in Junior Reading. We finished in third place overall – our best ever result.

We organised and attended various Community Christmas events throughout December including Bingo, Carols Around the Tree turning on the Community Centre Christmas lights, and our Carol Service in Brawdy Church where we donated food to PATCH and the Catrin Vaughan Foundation. Members celebrated the end of a busy few months at the Queens Balls and Junior Ball.

January saw the whole club get into rehearsals for our Pantomime “The Italian Job”. Our hard work paid off as we won at County as a club for the first time in over fifty years, while Rhys Jones was awarded Best Actor and Senior Member of the Year on the same night. We performed again for community in Mathry Hall, and from there we had our first ever Wales trip as a club, as we competed in Llanelli on a weekend that the club will never forget.

In March we held our Anniversary Dinner at Crug Glas, celebrating ten years of our merger as well as 75 years of Brawdy and 50 years of Hayscastle. Generations of members young and old of the clubs were brought together to share stories and memories of YFC in our area on a fantastic night that showed the importance of the movement in our community. We welcomed the DPJ Foundation to a club night, donating £300 for their important work. We also had a visit from Car-y-Mor who gave us a talk about their seaweed farming on our local coast.

We competed in the Field Day, before entering every Rally competition for the second year in a row. In Pre-Rally, many members tried stockjudging for the first time and Emily Perkins won the U21 sheep. Our junior tug of war team won their first ever pull after years of steady improvement! On Rally day Ella won the U16 NFYFC

flower arranging while Toby, Elinor, Harri, Ffion, Seren and Freddie danced their way to second. Rhys, Lydia, Dan, Elinor, Charlie and Dylan came second in the Cruise Ship Entertainment, and Emmie and Llinos were joint third in NFYFC cookery. Overall, we finished fourth, and second in the Dill & Mostyn Shield.

Our members, leaders and parents outdid themselves once again as we built on last year’s result and their hard work was rewarded. The competition year ended with our Indoor Sports and Knockout Quiz teams as runners-up, and members travelled to the Royal Welsh with our dancers and Emily Perkins representing us. We held our club dinner at St Davids Old Farmhouse Brewery where members, parents and friends celebrated our successful year.

We again ran The Bhar at Hayscastle Show which was a great success and enjoyed by the whole community. Members took part in community and charitable events over the year – we spent an afternoon cleaning and maintaining Hayscastle Woodland Garden and Community Centre, while Adam and Rhys compèred the Hayscastle Show horse racing night and members took part in the Community Fun Day singing, dancing and playing the guitar for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our historic year ended with us making the shortlist for the Club of the Year at the NFYFC awards, a hugely prestigious honour that is the culmination of all of everyone’s efforts over the last year and decade that we never would have dreamed was possible after agreeing our merge to save our clubs. A huge thank you to our members, club leaders, parents and supporters for their continued dedication over the year – it truly has been one to remember.

CLUNDERWEN

Clunderwen Young Farmers’ Club has wrapped up one of its most successful years to date, marked by victories on local, county, and even national stages. From sporting glory to artistic triumphs, the club’s achievements have made 2023–24 a year to remember.

The season began in style when Clunderwen Juniors clinched the Rugby 7s title for the second consecutive year, setting the tone for the months ahead.

September brought a proud moment for the club when long-standing member and former Chair, Llinos Ford, was elected County Vice Chair at the AGM.

Clunderwen talent shone brightly at the Eisteddfod. Loti Makepeace won the Instrumental Solo and later joined with Enfys to secure the Instrumental Ensemble title. Mari also impressed, taking first place in the Film Review category (28 and under). On the national stage, Jess triumphed at the NFYFC National Finals by taking first place in Flower Arranging, a remarkable achievement that brought huge pride to the club.

November was a busy month, starting with members laying a wreath on Remembrance Sunday. Shortly after, Clunderwen impressed at the Winter Fair with standout results in stock judging. Enfys took first place in Lamb Carcass Judging, while Cai Lewis came first and Llinos second in Live Lamb Judging. In addition, Scott and Menna both achieved second place in Beef Stock Judging in their respective age groups. Together, these results secured top spots in Beef, Carcass, and Lamb Judging, with the club finishing a fantastic fourth overall.

December saw further success when the Senior English Public Speaking team of Morgan, Llinos, Mari, Scott, and Menna earned third place in the After Dinner Speaking category, a well-deserved recognition for their hard work.

February brought the pantomime Mother Goose to Brithdir Hall, where weeks of rehearsal paid off with a second-place finish. The performances also earned special awards, with Sion Blethyn named Best Junior Actor and Scott Robinson receiving the prize for Best Performance.

Field Day in April continued the winning streak. Scott placed third in Senior Stockman of the Year, while Cai and Sion took fourth place in Fferm Ffactor. The Senior Fencing Team proudly continued the club’s strong fencing tradition by coming first once again. The evening ended in celebration when members joined Keyston YFC at the Pelcombe Inn, where Mari Roberts was announced as County Attendant, to the delight of the whole club.

At the Annual Club Dinner in Taverspite, members gathered to celebrate and reflect on the year’s achievements. Awards were presented to Maddie, who was named Junior Member of the Year, and Mari, who received the Chairman’s Award. Llinos was honoured as Senior Member of the Year, while Morgan and Scott shared the Members’ Member award. The Club Leaders’ Choice award went to Morgan, recognising his outstanding contributions.

Later that month, Morgan represented Clunderwen at the Wales Public Speaking Finals in Builth Wells, where his team achieved a highly respectable third place.

40

Pre-Rally competitions brought a series of strong results in Pig, Dairy, and Bluefaced Leicester stock judging, with several members achieving first-place positions. The club also earned recognition for its Farm Safety campaign and cookery entries. At the same time, members and leaders worked hard to prepare the Promotional Sign, which proudly stood at the entrance to the village. Their efforts paid off when the sign went on to win first place on Rally Day.

The celebrations continued at the Rally itself, where the club secured seventh in RWS Craft, seventh in Solo Singing, joint sixth in RWS Cookery, and eighth in Group Singing. The day was made extra special with Mari Roberts representing the club as Rally Attendant. Royal Welsh Success

The season concluded on a high at the Royal Welsh Show. Llinos placed third individually in Pig Stock Judging and helped the team secure first place overall, an outstanding achievement on a national stage. Mia and Sioned also proudly represented Clunderwen in their competitions, showing the breadth of the club’s talent.

From rugby victories to fencing triumphs, pantomime performances to national flower arranging success, Clunderwen YFC has once again shown outstanding dedication and talent. The club extended heartfelt thanks to its members, leaders, parents, and supporters for making the year so special.

As the curtain falls on 2023–24, Clunderwen YFC looks ahead with confidence, ready for another season of achievement, laughter, and community spirit.

EGLWYSWRW

It is a real privilege to be able to present this report for our club this year having had such a successful year. Looking back over the past twelve months, I feel very proud of what our club has achieved. What a year it’s been! Our members have thrown themselves into competitions, stock judging, public speaking and fundraising with real enthusiasm. It has been inspiring to see our newer members growing in confidence, whilst our experienced members continue to set a fantastic example.

When I think about the year, one of the most striking things is just how varied and busy our calendar has been. From competitions to panto practices, fundraising, and farm visits – it’s this variety that makes our club so special and ensures that members of all ages get a chance to be involved and try something new. There has been something for everyone!

Competitions have played a huge part in our year. Our members have thrown themselves into activities from cookery to tug of war. A number of our members have achieved excellent results at county level, and some have gone to represent us at regional and national stages. To each and everycompetitor, whether you came home with a trophy or not, well done for having the courage to get involved at representing our club.

One of the real highlights of our year was the Rally. After weeks of preparation and practice, I am delighted to say that we emerged as joint winners! This was a fantastic achievement for us as a club, and what made it even more special was the fact that it has been thirteen years since our club last won a rally! That long wait made the celebrations at our annual club dinner even sweeter. The aspect of our club that often goes unseen but is vital to our success is the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Running a Young Farmers Club is far more than just turning up once a week to club night, but the countless hours of hard work. Our club leaders and trainers deserve a huge recognition for the time they put in always quietly working in the background to keep everything running smoothly. Parents and volunteers also play a crucial role, from helping at events, to offering their farms and businesses as venues for visits and demonstrations.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Young Farmers without a bit of laughter along the way, and this year’s panto was no exception. Rehearsals, costumes and plenty of questionable acting brought out plenty of giggles – both on stage and in the audience. I must admit, taking on the role as one of the dames was the highlight!

This year we chose the Welsh Air Ambulance as our charity of the year. It is a cause that means so much to our community and our club. I am incredibly proud of the effort our members put in to raise money, from Car Treasure Hunt to Carol Singing. I am equally grateful to the local community and organizations for the generosity they have shown.

As I head into my final few years with the YFC, I hope we can continue to encourage more new members to join us. The future of Young Farmers depends on bringing in fresh faces and giving them the same opportunities many of us have enjoyed. In closing, I would like to thank everyone once againfor your contribution to another successful year, and I look forward to seeing what the next year brings.

FISHGUARD-ABERGWAUN

Chairman: Isabelle Evans Secretary: Mary Raymond Treasurer: Teleri Wilson President: Mrs Gail Barrington

Fishguard YFC continued to thrive in the 2024/2025 year with membership numbers continue to remain high.

Beginning with our opening social, attended by over 50 members enjoying fun filled evening of games and team building. A wonderful start to the year setting the tone for things to come. Soon after, we held our first fundraiser– an Afternoon Tea. It was a delightful occasion, bringing together members of the community, raising £991 for Tenovus Cancer Care.

A high bar was set from the first competition of the year achieving 1st overall in the County Eisteddfod with five competitions selected to represent Pembrokeshire nationally. The hours of rehearsals and hard work that went into those performances cannot be underestimated. Fishguard rose to the occasion at the Wales Eisteddfod, securing several awards contributing to Pembrokeshire finishing third overall.

Over 30 members attended our farm trip to Velindre. An educational evening highlighting that YFC is about learning as well as competing. Momentum continued with County winter fair stockjudging practices, where strong commitment and enthusiasm from new and existing members led Fishguard to secure 1st overall.

Before Christmas, the club enjoyed its traditional Bingo and Carol Signing, both successful in raising funds for the club and chosen charity as well as spreading festive spirit. Senior members attended the Queens Ball whilst the juniors had an excellent evening at the Youth Forum Winter Ball.

Fishguard YFC prides itself on community spirit, this year has been no exception, laying a wreath at Mathry Remembrance Service, participating in a joint concert with Côr Gwaun, and various carol services, all showcasing the club’s commitment to being a valued part of the community.

The new year started in style with our Past and Present Chairman’s Ball. The club would like to thank all who attended and supported a fantastic evening. Together, we achieved something truly remarkable — raising £6,300 for the final stages of the Hall Build. From there, we wasted no time jumping straight into Welsh Public Speaking, finishing third overall, with incredible individual results from Tomas Evans, Elen Roach, Cerys Davies and Yori Evans, who all went on to represent Pembrokeshire.

Then came panto season. Weeks of rehearsals, commitment, and laughter, all leading to our performance of ‘Helynt yr Hwch Feddw’. The hard work paid off in spectacular fashion taking home 1st in the Welsh Pantomime. Special congratulations went to Tomos Evans for winning Best Actor, to Cerys Davies for Best Actress, and also Ianto Evans for being crowned Pembrokeshire YFC Junior Member of the Year.

A little break for lambing at upper-scolton was had, but there was no slowing down. Panto practices continued into March before travelling to Ffwrnes Theatre competing in the Wales YFC Pantomime Festival, proudly coming away with 4th against the very best in the country. Congratulations went to Cerys Evans who was nominated for Best Junior Performer, and again to Ianto for interviewing for Wales Junior member of the year.

44

April saw members and farming partnerships of the community take on a new opportunity, attending the Farm Resilience Programme with the Royal Countryside fund offering farm business training covering a range of topics with experienced consultants.

Next County Field Day, a busy day of stock judging, fencing, and auctioneering with again fantastic results, achieving second overall. A special mention to Rebecca John, being named Senior Stockman, Rebecca John, Carys Owen, Lowri Morris and Megan Davies all went on to compete at the Wales Field day, where Carys and Rebecca were part of the Pembrokeshire stockman team pacing 3rd.

Members enjoyed a fun evening playing rounders, attended a Rural Affairs trip to Lloyd West Abattoirs, an Easter bingo fundraiser, joint social evening with Llysyfran YFC and some community work all before turning our energy towards rally preparations.

County rally is the highlight of the YFC year made extra special as our club chairman, Isabelle, was selected as a rally attendant. The individual successes during the day are too big to mention, but Fishguard proved themselves by taking away several trophies, including the NFU Challenge shield for the overall joint rally winners with Eglwyswrw YFC. This success meant several competitions went through to compete in the Royal Welsh Show. RWS kicked off by taking 1st overall for the singing competition, Rhys Evans became the star of S4C and Rebecca John was proudly awarded a Gareth Raw Rees Memorial Travel Scholarship. We were also delighted to support both the women’s and junior tug of war teams after weeks of hard work.

The YFC year wasn’t slowing down for summer. In July our secretary Mary competed in the English Public speaking National Final as part of the Pembrokeshire team. Rebecca and Megan traveled to the Great Yorkshire Show to compete in the Dairy Stockjudging national final. Another busy day was had at Fishguard Show with members supporting the crossing gates, hosting activities on the stand and running the show dance bar. Carys Owen then topped the year off the YFC year by winning NFYC Stockman of the year at Harper Adams University.

Fishguard have enjoyed another busy year of activities and competing. We are extremely grateful for all the support the club received and we look forward to doing it all again next year. Finally, after many years of hard work and endless fundraising. Fishguard are proud to announce that the YFC hall has officially been signed off and we are moving in!!

We've had another successful year - starting with Gwion Bowen winning as Junior Public Speaking chair and being chosen to represent Pembrokeshire as Chair in the team. Llion and Osian also had success in the Fferm Ffactor competition at the Field Day with them taking 3rd prize. Another success in the sheep stockjudging coming first as a team with Ceirian, Hafwen, Gwion and Celt.

Then on to Pre Rally with the dream team of Megan, Gruff and Rhydian taking first prize in the Promote and Local Attraction competition. Rally Day, many of the members competed from the youngest to the oldest from the dancing to the woodwork, everyone doing their very best. The singing group got 3rd, cooking also got 3rd, Manon got 3rd for the flowers, Gwenno also got 2nd for the flowers, Hafwen got 3rd for her Craft, and the tow team got second after a special effort. And finally Llion and Osian win the woodwork competition with a masterpiece of Wheelbarrow and the club winning the Rally Junior Shield.

On to the Royal Show, first to compete were Megan, Gruff and Rhydian, coming second, then the Junior Woodwork with Osian and Llion competing with their wheelbarrow winning the first prize. We also had Gruff Williams as part of the County rugby 7s team, and Mike Llewellyn coaching.

As a club, we have been on several visits over the past year. We went to see the Cardigan police station, Boomerang workshop, Crymych fire station where they were seen doing their weekly exercises. We visited the local farm Drysgol Goch to see their farm and rotary parlour. Loads of members came to the golfing night in Mayfield, Haverfordwest where our members were able to show off their golfing skills - everyone had a blast. We've also organized several club nights in Canolfan Hermon where guests have come to demonstrate their skills and talk about interesting experiences. Sara Jones came to us to do an art night while painting slates and their masterpieces now decorate many homes in the area. Also Cariann and Elen from the Fishguard YFC came to talk about their cruise with Wales YFC, it was a very interesting evening and I'm sure they have encouraged many to try to go on a Wales YFC trip. Recently we went to play frisbee golf in Clerkenhill and Dafydd Vaughan came to host a night of puzzles.

Also this year as a club we have held several eventsto raise money, Bingo for In it with Isaac, Car treasure hunt thanks to Ann Howells and Lousie for creating the hunt and a duck race down in the Llanfyrnach river. Over these 3 events we managed to raise a significant amount for the charity and for the club, I am very grateful for this.

Congratulations to Megan Phillips for being chosen to go on a trip to Patagonia, we look forward to hearing about her experiences after coming back.

KEYSTON

So as tradition, we kicked off the 2024/25 year with our opening social. We saw many new faces that evening, many of which are still coming to club to this day!

The first competitions day arrived with the Eisteddfod. The folk dancing team made a comeback winning in the county round and coming 2nd at Wales. We then go onto the winter fair where we came 8th overall with some great results.

The county public speaking day was one of the highlights of the year. We had a fantastic day as club winning overall with the seniors, intermediates and some juniors winning and going onto represent the county at Wales where we had even more great results including Amy winning senior situations vacant, Sara winning best speaker in the English junior speaking and Aled, Will and Jack being a part of the winning Braintrust team, Amy and Jack then went onto compete at the national finals where Jack was a part of the winning intermediate team. Massive achievement for all. Just before Christmas we held our well-loved Carol singing evening at Camrose country hardware where we raised money to go towards a mass donation at the end of the year for the chosen charities.

After the new year we had the Welsh public speaking where we entered a junior team who did amazingly well coming away with a team victory for the first time in the club’s history, Sara Gwilliam also won best speaker to go along with her best speaker trophy in the English.

Next up we had the pantomime competition, we came 5th overall with our very own ugly sisters Will and Amy winning best Act. Thanks again to Lucy Ann and Jill for piecing it all together and putting up with us in practices. We then put on the performance again in Clarbeston road hall and raising money for club funds.

After the drama we were straight into field day where we came 4th overall with some very impressive results.

Before we got into Rally preparations, we held a charity Quiz night to raise money for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital, it was a great night enjoyed by all, a big thank you to the members who cooked Pulled pork at home and to Paul Canning for being quiz master.

We were swiftly onto rally preparations with lots of pre rally competitions. A very busy time of year as usual. We had many members competing in the various competitions with many members competing for the very first time which was lovely to see, and even better to see people enjoying themselves with lots of laughter in practices. We came 8th overall as a club with some great individual results. The dancing team won with Owain and Rhys jointly winning best dancer, the cruise ship entertainment and Main ring display teams came 1st also and therefore went on to compete at the Royal Welsh! We were also very proud as a club to win the inaugural Ann-Phillips Memorial Award for Overall Stage competitions at the rally.

Sports day and rugby 7s soon followed rally day with some success in all the disciplines. Congratulations to the Ladies netball team who came 1st!

48

To finish off the year as usual we had the Camrose vintage working day where members helped the committee set up the field, junior members helped in the refreshment tent and doing odd jobs around the field on the day and of course our senior members running the bar all day. A long and tiring job at another very busy vintage day but it was all worth it in the end. It’s a great event for the YFC to be involved in as it is great for the community spirit and of course benefits so many charitable causes. We can be very proud to be a part of such a cause for good.

Along with all the competitions, charity and community events that we take part in as a club, we have had so much fun this year on outside visits and the wide variety of club nights that we’ve put on, growing together as a club and keeping the yellow army spirit alive. We may not win every competition, but we make sure we enjoy every moment practicing and taking part which is what the YFC spirit is all about.

LLAWHADEN

It feels like only yesterday we were holding our AGM for 2024–25 and electing our officials for the year ahead. We welcomed in our new team: Lili James as Chairman, Mari James as Vice Chairman, Mared Phillips as Secretary, Izzy Hammond as Treasurer, and Siân Lewis starting her role as President of Llawhaden YFC.

We kicked things off in September with our opening social, where it was great to welcome both new and familiar faces. The night was themed around The Cube, and shortly after we enjoyed a trip out to Caddies Golf where everyone had a go at scoring a hole-in-one. At the end of the month, we wished Seren Phillips the best of luck as she headed to Malvern to compete in the under-21 floral art.

As the nights drew in, we kept busy with a trip to Windsor Pumpkins to pick the perfect pumpkins ready for Halloween, which we later celebrated with Martletwy YFC at Clerkenhill. October also marked the start of competition season, with many members taking part in a variety of competitions at the Eisteddfod. Lots of members came home with certificates — and plenty of laughs were had along the way!

We also hosted our own gingerbread house competition, which was messy but full of fun. Competitions continued into November with the Winter Fair, where members headed to Whitland Mart. The club placed 5th overall, with fantastic individual results from Poppy Llewellin, Ela Howell, Izzy Hammond and Malissa Fletcher, who went on to represent Pembrokeshire at Builth.

In the run-up to Christmas, we enjoyed our annual Christmas meal at The Bush and hosted our everpopular Christmas Fair, which welcomed local businesses from across the area and was followed by a lively bingo night led by Club Leader Alice. The event raised an amazing £550. December also brought public speaking competitions — never the most popular event, but it was great to see so many Llawhaden members taking part.

After the Christmas break, members got stuck straight into rehearsals for the Panto competition, alongside table tennis tournaments and arts and crafts. February saw our big performance of Jack and the Beanstalk. Although there was no final, we proudly came 3rd overall. We also marked Pancake Day and raised an incredible £650 at our Panto and Cawl evening.

Spring brought more success with Field Day. Isaac, our very own auctioneer, won county level and went on to represent Wales. We also had strong stock judging teams, and our Fferm Factor duo made sure to sprint to reel the fencer out in record time! Easter was celebrated with cheesecake making led by Nia, plus a fun trip to Clerkenhill for some frisbee golf.

From there it was straight into Rally season, with pre-rally competitions and practices keeping members busy. We still managed to squeeze in a trip to Gelli for a game of rounders. Rally Day came around quickly, and our members gave brilliant performances across the board, finishing 7th overall. We also proudly took home numerous trophies, including the Mostyn and Dill Williams Shield for the most points per member — an incredible achievement for our small club!

50

As exams season arrived, members worked hard on their GCSEs and A Levels, but we still found time for Pembrokeshire Sports Day where we joined the rounders pool team. A summer trip to the beach reminded us all how competitive we are at rounders, before the annual pilgrimage to the Royal Welsh Show where Isaac and Ela competed for Pembrokeshire in stock judging.

August brought our annual Car Treasure Hunt, organised by Club Leaders Nan Llewellin and Anna. With 27 cars taking part, Mrs Sharon and the Clunderwen team took the crown despite a few wrong turnings along the way! The event raised £450. This was followed by our Bank Holiday Duck Race, which unfortunately had to be postponed, before we rounded things off with our AGM and the election of our new officials.

It’s been another incredibly busy year, packed full of opportunities, competitions, socials and successes. None of it would have been possible without the amazing support of our members, leaders, trainers, and parents — thank you all!

51

LLYS-Y-FRAN

What another busy year! Thanks to all that have supported Llysyfran YFC throughout the year. We started with our AGM where the new officials were elected:

Chairman: Rhys James Vice Chairman: Will Lewis & Mark Wolsey Secretary: Beth Williams Assistant Secretary: Ellen Philipps-Harries Treasurer: Steven James

In September we held our opening social, where we welcomed new and existing members to our club room for an evening of fun and games.

Then, it was time for the Pembrokeshire AGM, where Steven won the Wayne Mathias Award and we collected the trophy for the Men’s Football.

The eisteddfod was soon here and thanks to everyone’s hard work we came 3rd overall, with Nia Lewis winning the County Chair competition and achieving 2nd at the Wales Eisteddfod.

We held our annual Fireworks display on November the 5th which was well supported, despite the weather.

A few days later we were in Whitland competing at the Winter Fair, with many successes throughout the day. We came away with 2nd place overall. The following week we held a Curry & Quiz night in Maenclochog and a thank you must go to Katrina & Hafwen for making & donating the curry, as well as Richard & Anne for writing the quiz.

Carrying on with competitions, December quickly came and we talked our way into 2nd place overall in the English Public speaking. Rhys & Nia competed in the situations vacant competition. Our junior members were out in force for the Youth Forum Christmas Ball and many of our seniors attended the Queens ball the following evening- the fact it was postponed for a week didn’t put us off.

To spread the Christmas cheer, we held our Carol Service and went around Maenclochog carol singing, whilst raising money for charity.

The new year arrived, and it was straight into panto practices, as well as preparing for the Welsh Public Speaking. At the end of January, we came 2nd overall in the Welsh Public Speaking and I would like to thank many of our junior member for stepping up, to fill teams in the older age categories, which helped us achieve second overall.

Panto this year was a new experience for us all in the Brithdir Hall and it was great to see many new faces on the stage this year, and, despite a few late nights, we all enjoyed being involved and we ended up coming 4th overall. Thanks must, once again, go to Delme for writing the script and directing us and to everyone who helped with the production. The following week we braved the wind and went to Llysyfran Dam to litter pick and put up wildlife boxes as part of our community work with Welsh Water.

52

We returned to Crug Las this year for our annual dinner, and it was lovely to see the room full of members, leaders, parents and helpers to celebrate the last 12 months.

Then onto the County Field Day. It was a fantastic day for us and thanks to everyone’s efforts we ended up winning the overall. After an already successful day of competing, it really wasLlysyfran YFCs day, as during the social that evening, Bethan was elected as the County Rally Queen, Rhys as Male Ambassador and Beth as one of the attendants. Shortly after, we were widening, clearing and re-laying St Meilyr Church path in Llysyfran. We also held an Easter Bingo in Maenclochog Hall.

Pre-rally was then in full swing, with numerous successes, enabling us to win the pre-rally cup, joint with Fishguard. We all worked hard preparing for the Rally, enjoyed the various competitions and were fortunate to be the runners up on Rally Day. Rally Day was special for us as a club with our Chairman, Secretary and one of our key senior members on stage, as part of the county ambassador team.

Then came the last county competition of the year, the sports day. All members who participated thoroughly enjoyed- despite a few injuries! We then held a Tractor Run, Sports Day and participated in the ‘Food Story’ competition in the County Show.

Our members’ efforts meant we represented county at many Wales YFC competitions. We also had successes at National, with the junior rounders team competing, the Farm Safety Skills winning again and Tom winning the U16 Dairy Stockjudging at the Yorkshire Show.

Our fundraising throughout the year was well supported, meaning we were fortunate enough to donate to our chosen charities:

The DPJ Foundation- £650 The Catrin Vaughan Foundation: £250 Withybush Chemotherapy Day Unit Appeal: £1,750 Gwastad Chapel: £100

It has been a fantastic year for Llysyfran YFC. We hope to have an equally as enjoyable and successful year ahead.

53

MARTLETWY

We started our year with a very messy and chaotic new members social evening, and it seems to have set a precedent. This year’s followed suit! Planning something more sensible next year… maybe?! We had a lot of fun, and the new faces obviously enjoyed it as they stuck around! Our membership grew and we looked forward to the year ahead with our new members. We have even managed to bring previous members back to club, which has been fantastic. We have welcomed back older ex-members too, many now taking on support roles and some even agreeing to be new leaders, all while introducing their children to our club.

We have enjoyed performing as a club this year, whether it has been at the Public Speaking, the Eisteddford or the production competitions. It has been a wonderful way to bring the younger and new members into the organisation and of course a great way to make them feel part of the Martletwy YFC family.

Our senior rugby boys surprised us all and won the County rugby competition, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. They enjoyed themselves immensely, some going on to represent County in the RWS, although the Members tent did thwart an excelled performance on the day perhaps!?

We also won the ER Phillips trophy for an outstanding contribution to the community and for raising money for charity. We were all so proud of ourselves for winning that, we set out to do it and we did!

The Rally was a lot of fun for our club this year. We tried to enter as many competitions as possible so that all of our members could have a go at something they would enjoy. We did come last, and although many members felt disappointed, it was the first major competition for many of the newer members, and they all learned so much. Our members faced their fears, tried things they hadn’t before and threw themselves into everything, the trophy table may have had us in last place but for us it was one of our most successful rallies ever, we really came together as a club afterwards and the support given from older to younger members, from more experienced members to newer was something that was amazing to see. Our tug of war teams did themselves proud in the rally, the senior men coming away with a very respectable 2nd place. Our senior tug of war girls team really celebrated like they’d won the whole competition, they were so proud of themselves for taking part, as were we all!

Our junior fencing boys finally came away with the 1st place they had been chasing in the Field Day, and a 2nd place over all. We’ve seen members excel in stock judging, arts and crafts, dancing to name but a few and we won the County Indoor Games Competition!

It’s not just about the competitions though, we’ve had so much fun along the way, conker nights, bonfires, beach days, cinema trips, local shows, dances, great talks and social nights, pumpkin calving, meeting up with other clubs, go karting, trips out and about in the local community, games nights, darts and pool evenings, and far too many other things to mention…

54

We lost senior member Sally this Summer. It was devastating, we all pulled together as a club and celebrated her life by singing at her funeral. It's going to be difficult for our members at times going forward, but whatever we do this next YFC year, we do for her, and we hope we make her and her family proud. We love you Sal.

We couldn’t do any of this without a great support network and we look forward to continuing our journey next year. Good luck to all the other clubs in Pembrokeshire YFC next year – we look forward to seeing you all out and about!

55

SOUTH PEMBS

Starting the Club year in September was calving live at Bowet farm. Members had a tour of the farm, and showed members the young calves.

winning the ‘pitch a farm safety project’ competition at county.

Some results included were Sophie’s scrapbook coming 1st, Luisa and Tomos placing 1st in the generation game, aswell as mollie and Chloe winning the dress up a club leader competition. Lily placed 5th in solo singing, the main ring display group came 2nd and the tug of war team came 3rd. At pre rally club placed 3rd, and 5th overall at Rally.

Throughout the summer, members visited the beach, went alpaca trekking, played sports and went to a driving range. Then came the national public speaking finals, another very successful day for South Pembs. Charlotte came 4th in intermediate situations vaccant, and the Pembrokeshire team won the Nationals Brainstrust competition. This lead to Gethin being awarded best panellist and Charlotte the best chairman.

Within the past month, members got involved in various shows and social events, such as stewarding at the Pembroke Farmers Club barn dance. Members who won their competition at Rally, went on to compete in the Royal Welsh. Sophie’s scrapbook won 2nd place, Mollie and Chloe dressing up a later came 4th, and Toni’s and Luisa came 5th in the generation game.

Our most recent event has been Pembroke Show. South Pembs set up a tent displaying club colours, banners and scrapbooks. Members took turns with face painting, welly throwing, bean bag throwing and more.

Thanks to everyone who has helped club this year and we are looking forward to another year in club for members both new and old.

REPORT OF THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER To the Trustees of PEMBROKESHIRE FEDERATION OF YOUNG FARMERS CLUBS

We report on the accounts of the Clubs (a registered Charity) for the year ended 31[st] July 2025, which are set out on pages 3 to 9. This report is made solely to the charity’s trustees. Our independent examination has been undertaken so that we might state to the members those matters we are required to state to them and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and its members as a body, for this report or for the opinions we have formed.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is our responsibility to:

Basis of independent examiner’s statement

Our examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

Independent examiner’s statement

In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention:

  1. which gives us reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements:

  2. ⧫ to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act;

  3. ⧫ to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act have not been met; or

  4. to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Pembrokeshire Federation of Young Farmers Club

Treasurers Report

For the Year Ended 31[st] July 2025

It is my pleasure to present the Statement of Financial Affairs for the Pembrokeshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs for the Year Ended 31st July 2025.

As county treasurer, I serve as a member of the Finance and Governance Committee and work alongside the committee members and your County Organiser to ensure the finances of the Federation are safeguarded and used for their intended purpose. I am most grateful for their support in keeping the finances of the Federation in focus. 2025 saw a full YFC calendar of events and activities and the financial out turn for the year shows the impact of this alongside careful financial planning and management ensuring the Federation has been successful from a financial perspective once again.

The financial statements allow members and readers of the accounts to fully understand the transactions and supporting analysis in some detail. Income and expenditure are shown separately to provide clarity and transparency on the financial position which is important in an organisation that is run by its members. I refer to the set of Notes to the Accounts on pages 7 to 9 which show a financial summary of the main group headings.

I am very pleased to report at this the Annual General Meeting, that the financial position of the Federation is secure with Cash and Investments standing at £123,729 (£129,875, 2024) as at the Balance Sheet date albeit a reduction of £6,146 year on year.

Social events income at almost £40,000 continues to dominate the main sources of funding and have kept the Balance Sheet and cash holding levels of the Federation strong. The two main events are the Rally Dance and Queen and Ambassador Ball contributed £22,954 to the Federations reserves which is a fantastic effort on the part of all members, officials and friends of the Federation who safely managed these events. Such events do not come without their financial and operational risks, but once again everything has run smoothly so congratulations to all those involved.

The investment in the YFC Van had an initial cost of £29,119 with annual insurance circa £1100 has proved to be invaluable. The van is accounted as an Asset on the Balance Sheet of the Federation and the depreciation charge of £2,621 is included in the expenditure section of the accounts. It is the responsibility of the F&G Committee to consider what assets the Federation requires with costings and to make recommendations to the Executive committee as and when capital investments are identified.

During 2024/25 assets totalling £6,582 were acquired which include a new printer and computer equipment for the YFC office.

With regards treasury management, the Federation has continued to benefit from the Bank Base Rate by maintaining investments at £100,000 for the year on long term deposits in order to gain a return on cash funds. The investment is split into two separate transactions. One for £50,000 which will accrue interest at 2.75% and matures in October 2025. The second £50,000 accrues interest at 2.34% and will mature in July 2026. Further investments will be considered to ensure the federation is receiving the best return possible on cash reserves.

Income overall increased to £119,995 from £111,724 in 2024 which represents a 7% year on year increase. Costs, whilst well controlled, increased from £109,368 to £123,500 or 13% and so

expenditure outweighed income by £3,505 resulting in net expenditure arising in 2025 however the financial results are still positive.

Membership fees collected were stable at £22,530 versus £22,265 for 2024, an increase of just £265 due to membership fees charged remaining static. Membership levy and insurance payments out were £23,829 therefore the Federations subsidised membership by £1,299 during the year. This was a conscious decision and is not material in terms of the overall financial picture for 2025.

I am pleased to report that Membership numbers for 2025 are relatively stable at 624 (versus 647 in 2024). The reduction is minimal at 23 members year on year so numbers appear to give a sustainable position for the future. Included within the 624 are 30 associate members which is up on the 12 for last year. It is good to see that intermediate and senior membership now accounts for 41% of total members for 2025 as this is needed to ensure clubs run smoothly and there are sufficient numbers to take on the responsibility that is needed to support younger members.

The strategy to continue to cap membership fees and provide a small subsidy irrespective of age has been a good one in terms of retaining the level of recruitment Member recruitment remains a key objective for individual clubs over the coming years in order to maintain the sustainability of the Federation and all its Clubs for future generations.

Donation and sponsorship remain an important income stream for the Federation. In 2025 the amount received was £12,134 compared to £25,444 in the previous year so a significant reduction of over 50%. This is largely due to the NFU Mutual Giving fund not being available in consecutive years. The Federation also benefited from £4,520 last year from a memorial fund. A donation from a Community Council has been received and the federation is grateful for this support.

Competition’s income has been a significant success during 2025. Income totalled £35,649 versus £16,468 so an increase on the previous year of £19,181 which is quite unbelievable. The holding of the Pantomime competition was thought initially to be a concern with the Fishguard School venue being unavailable. However, in true YFC style, a workaround was found and the event was a roaring success thanks to the hard work of the County Organiser and the team who support events. Whilst the physical work was a huge undertaking, I do not underestimate the financial management that goes alongside and Owain has to be congratulated for the way he facilitated the costings. The pantomime brought in a profit of £12,300 which no one could ever have envisaged thanks to an enormous effort from a handful of key individuals. I am told that this was yet another example of the YFC Van being invaluable which is good to hear.

Part of the financial success of the Pantomime has to be attributed to very generous sponsorship from local businesses which totalled £5,450 as follows:

This is up on the previous year’s profit of £2,450. The day draws large crowds of members and supporters and is financially supported by 10 local Businesses totalling £3,200:

A very big Thank You must go to these local businesses and to Owain for making the approach and seeking their support in such a pro-active manner.

The first section of expenditure shown on page 5 relates to directly attributable charitable expenditure and has increased year on year by £7,582 to £57,444 directly as a result of the pantomime expenditure. The breakdown in note 9 shows the finances in more detail.

Support costs have increased year-on-year by £6,527 to £65,124. This relates in the main to the increased wage costs and an investment into the Federation Website. There are no other noteworthy movements year on year.

The Patron Scheme and 100 Club continues to be a good source of additional income netting £3,279 in 2025 as well as ensuring the wider community and supporters are part of the success of the YFC movement in Pembrokeshire.

Management and Administration costs are broadly static for Professional and Accountancy fees noting that the Federation is charged at a lower rate than commercial fees by LHP Accountants.

There is a separate note within the accounts setting out the finances for the Youth Forum. At the start of the year, the Forum carried a balance forward of £590. Income in the year was £581 and expenditure was £243 so by the end of the year their balance increased to £928. These transactions are included within the Federation accounts and therefore the £338 underlying increase in the carrying balance impacts the operating results of the Federation by that amount.

In summary, the Federation has once again managed its financial affairs successfully despite the overall result being expenditure outweighing income by £3,505 during the Year Ended 31[st] July 2025 versus a surplus of £2,356 for the previous year. I once again draw my treasurers report to a close commending the Federation of another year of financial stability and strong membership, so congratulations to the members and officials on achieving the results that you have.

I would like to formally thank LHP Accountants for their work in preparing the Accounts set out before you, and thanks specifically to Tracy Busch for all her hard work again this year.

My most sincere thanks to Owain for maintaining the financial records so accurately and diligently and ensuring the financial sustainability of the Federation year on year. Owain is pivotal to the ongoing success of the federation and 2025 has been a challenging year for him to manage. We are all extremely grateful for everything you do.

That concludes my Treasurers report and I will now hand back to our Chair to move to formal adoption of the Accounts.
