Objectives and activities
The objects ore to maintain aThJ womote, for the ￿efft of t￿ a￿. ￿ Fra*Eville Community Centre.
The management ain￿ to F*ovide fitst da55 faalitie5 at an affordabse cost from t￿ ￿rioUS rcN)ms available
for hire.
Achievements and pthmance
To conform ¥Mth regulations regarding mL￿1c the Centre was wistered and paid b)th a PPL and PRS
li￿nCe. The dispute over payments has teen resc4v&1 arwj centre rth¥ only pays the PRS li￿r￿ with
indiwdsjal groups Ptdwng PPL if atvropriate. This ¥MII min a reduction in Ihe Centres costs.
The cost of heating arKI lighting contirtue to major items of exFenditure with large in£rea5e in elertriaty
and gas. It is predirted that CC6ts ccNJld doulje from eady 2023 when existing Electiic and Gas contracts
expire.
The Sweet Pea Café in FeLYuary has Eeen a great succe55 as a bvay in whith ne￿ people have
been intrOdU￿d to the Centre.
The major improvement during the year has Eeen the comrAete repLKement of the stage curtains (apart
from the front curtain) and a new set of steps from the sta9e to the hall paid wt of fijnds raised by the
pantomime. There ha5 a150 iEen a major clear out badstsge of accumulated equipment and stage props.
Two new emergenry dwrs from the main hall were c*dered in Decemt*r and w￿11 be fitted in eaty January
2024

The ststeM￿t of recupts arxi paY1T￿llts strK)￿S a net increase in o5h fvrKis from the previous year.
As a registe￿ charity our rate txll 55 ￿grrifi￿nUY red￿d as well as a lower rate of VAT on our gas and
electricity.
Room rent was £20,744 for the year which is an increase over last year, this doe5 need to be maintained to
help cover the increased c(L5ts of energy general maintenan￿. Q)nsidering all that is happening with
costs increasing etc. our bank balorKe has i￿rea￿j ￿19h￿Y which ts gratifw.ng for the many people who
work hard to k￿P Centre goirvj.
It is the policy of the charity tlwt unrestricted furKis %thich have not been designated for a speofic use
should be maintained at a levd equivalent to maintsin the next ￿e1ve months orErating costs. The actual
level of freely available unrestrirted furKJs (which theref(￿e exdudes trngible fixed assets) on 31 December
2023 was £53,184 [2022: £51,676).
