Activities
To provide educational and recreational facilities for the inhabitants of the Moortown and district of Leeds. Activities are :- bridge, bowls, snooker, tennis, table tennis, indoor bowls, dancing, keep fit, weightwatchers, U3A concerts, quiz etc. We also have a bar and main hall which are hired out for birthdays, weddings, anniversary's etc.
Objects: (a)to Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Moortown And The Neighbourhood(hereinafter Called"the Area Of Benefit")without Distinction Of Sex Or Of Poltical,religious Or Other Opinions By Associating The Local Authorities,voluntary Organisations And Inhabitants In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure-Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants.(b)to Ensure Continuity Of The Present Institute And To Maintain And Manage Such Institute For Activities Promoted By The Institute In The Furtherance Of The Above Objects.the Institute Shall Be Non-Party In Politics And Non-Sectarian In Religion.
