Green Hammerton Recreatlonal Charity (GHRC) provide8 the Wiilage Hail and Playing Fteld (including
the play park). The GHRC board are responsible for m8n88ing and maintsining the Willage Hall end
Piaylng Fleid (including the play pa￿) forthe use of the residents of Green Hammerton.
The charlty alms to organlse entertainment and recreatlonal opportunrtles throughoutthe year. often
working with other local groups.

Hammerton and are in good worklng order.

These events were enjoyed by many chlidren and local tamiile&

Th18 yaar we heve planned and In8ts11ed a new playground. The prolect wa8 funded by Sectlon 106
money a8 part of the planning obilgations of the new developments wlthln the VIE￿89 that18 required
to be relrnested In the Ioc81 communlty. This project was managed by a Jenny Hyma8 IGHRC Trust88),
Sophie H8rtleyand Jane Merriman (both members of the Parlsh Council who w8s a partner for the
S106 monies), and Sue Holden IGHRC volunteer). This project has been a resounding succe88 wlth
posltlve comments from parents and vliiagers WI￿ have expressed their gratitude for the new
playground which18 Very￿ll used and enjoyed by the children of the village.

Volunteers
We would like to thank 811 the voiunteeryJ who work hard to maintain the Vluage Hall and Flaying Field
to enabLe its use within the community of Green Hammerton.
Structuro. govomance and management
The method of appointment of GHRC members is set out in the charity constltutlon. GHRC members
Include seven Trustees in totaL' ft)ur elected Trustees. and three coopted trustees: one from the P8ri8h
Council. one from the Hall Group, and one from the Field Group.
All GHRC members are respon8ibie for making decl8ions on au matters of general concern and
importance with respect to the Vlllage Hall and Flaylng Fleid and decisions on how the fund8 of GHRC
are to be Spent.
The full GHRC met 10 times during the yearwith an average of 8ttend8n¢e of 88%.
