I report to the trustees on my examinatbon of the accounts of the Barwick-In-Elrnet Village Hall for the
year ended 31 March 2025.
Responsibilities
As the trustees of the Bafwick-lTr-Elmet Ifillage Hall you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordante WTth the requirements of the Charity Cornmission.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material rnatter5 have come to my attention in
connection with the examination givin8 me cause to believe that in any material respect:
l. accountin8 records were not kept as required by the Charity Commission: or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records: or
3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requ1￿Ments Con￿MIng the forni and content of
accounts set out in the Chartties (Accounts ar￿ Reports) Regulations 2(X)8 other than any requirement
that the accounts give a true and fair view which is rK)t a matter considered as part of an independent
examination.
I have no concerns and have tome across no other matters in connettion with the eXaMinat￿n to which
attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be

Trustees Report
Barwick in Elmet Village Hall runs the hall as an indoor venue for a raree of activities for all members of the
local community. It is available for hire to residents and environs. Events and letting are organised by the
Committee to raise funds for the Maintenan￿ of the hall. Barwick in Elmet Village Hall ￿ registered with
the Charity Commission under the registered number 523486.
The Committee can confinn that the Trustees have paid due regard to the guidan￿ given by the Charity
Commission on public benefrt in deciding what actNities the charity sI￿uld undertake.

Key Events
Over the past 12 months the trustees have held a Christmas fair to 5UPPOrt the income of the village hall
and hove expanded the number of hirers for one off event induding the Barwick Beer Festival wh￿h is set
to become an annual event
Key Improvements
In August 2024 we had essential cosmetic Maintenan￿ on our existing timber floor. Unfortunately due to
the age of the floor and the condition of the sublayer this dsd lead to damage and the entire floor will need
replacing. Community fundraising and grant applKations are ongoing to meet the expected cost5 Wlth
planned work due in August 2025.
