The Parish Hall's accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025 have been drawn up and independently reviewed. Copies of statements of (al the financial assets (balance sheet) and (b) summary cash income receipts and expenditure payments are included at the end of this report. The accounts do not include the freehold property value of the Hall itself (currently valued for Insuran purposes at a rebuilding cost of £896,000) as this asset which is also held in trust does not form part of the day-to-day financial activities of the charity. Hire rates have remained at the level agreed at the last AGM as the financial reserves of the Parish Hall have remained strong. The following were the main features of the year's finances.. The financial assets of the charity increased by £1,055 from £96,704 at the start of the year, to £97,759 by the end of 2025. Overall, annual income from all sour$ increased slightly to £28,607 in 2025 from £28,217 in 2024. Income from Hall hirings decreased to £3,506 in 2025 from £4,488 in 2024. 2024 receipts included £300 more payments invold the previous year than 2025. 2024 included £240 more receipts from family parties plus Yoga classes were held in that year but had finished before 2025. Burns Night was not held in 2025 and hire of tsbleslchairs and gazebos were higher in 2024.
External hires were higher in 2025 due to Scandimoot hiring the hall for a weekend in May with receipts of £595. They have b¢)oked again for 2026. Annual fundraising and event income increased slightly to £19,792 in 2025 {2024.' £19,152). The AUs1ck Street Market and Cuckoo Festival was again the key fundraising event in 2025. Awonderful efft)rt was made by volunteers across the community of Ausl¢k and its surrounding area especially considering the weather on the day. The event benefitted from the involvement of most village groups and businesses. The event raised income of £18,00912024.. £17,126). After related event costs the net surplus was £10.087 {2024'. £11,536), of which half, being £5,044 (2024.. £5,768) was retained by the Parish Hall. The event surplus is shared 50.'50 with fellow local charity theAustwick Playing Fields Association. Other fundraising income included the summer plants stall, a full schedule of film nights , popular quiz nights and Jigsaw club. Expenditure decreased to £27,552 in 2024 (2024.. £46,429. This included £16,232 for the audio-visual equipment providing an equivalent figure of £30,197) Repairs & Maintenance were £4,400 less than last year when the boiler cylinder was replaced and joinery work undertaken. An amount of £1,546 is held on behalf OfAUslck Playing Fields Association being 50¥0 of the funds held in a former bank account (closed in 2022>. Those funds represented monies held jointly with that Association for the purposes of providing working capital to launch each year's Street Market. The financial resources ol the charity at the end of 2025 of £97,759 were held principally as bank balances at Unity Trust Bank and Skipton Building Society providing a strong opening position for 2026. The Trustees would like to extend their thanks to all those in and around Austwick who volunteered their time, energies and other resources for the benefit of the charity during the year.
