Introduction.
th
This is my 30 AG.M. Report as your Chairnian. arKI highlights a year of outstandinE athievements for
S.B.P.F.A.
I will also overview with you the first Strategic Plan the offi￿r5 have written for the P.FA. And welcome your
input.
This should help us focus on key responsibilities and activities. and act as an operational guidance tool. and
hopefully act as aid in improving our communi(7tions with Member aub&
The Trustees.
Another relentless year of growth and developments. and I take this opportunity to thank all our Trystees
for their hard work and commitrnent.and personal sUPPOrt they hwrfe given me. and as a TEAM they can be
very proud of another successful year.
This is now a very big Association to manage, with FNe Member aubs growing and placing incremental
needs on all of us.
) Restructure is therefor one key way to ensure we continue to manage the day to day requirements and plan
for our future needs.
Also, sUc￿Ssion planning is now top of my mind. as I consider retirement from Offi￿ in a few years.
This next year we will progress the appointment of a vice Chainnan. and also a WI￿ Treasurer.
Two Trustees tonight are retiring from the team, namely Chris Oldfield who joined u5 to help with
Administration management, and seeking out Grant Aid.
Pete Giles is also stranding down but has offered to continue in a c(kopted role to help us when needed on
building and project management
His guidance and support over many years has been outstanding with our field and facilities developments
and he is Cu￿entty concluding phase one of the Reckondales field facilities projecL
I want to record my thanks to my fellow Officers namely Graham and Mike for all that they do with their
heavy workloads in such a professional Wdy.
We are hoping to have Two new c¢)-OPted Trustees join the team representing Tennis and Netball aubs.
2024 A MILESTONE YEASL
Eight years a go I was briefed by PaTish Councillor Chris Keeley on a thing called the Section 106 grant aid
opportunity !
This money is from the House Building Developer5 allocations.
Since then, and being successful with Two applications to the E.R.Y.Q the support of our Parish Council, our
own Clubs and P.F.A. Fund Raising activtties, coupled with the Football Foundation Grant close pn a totsl of
£1 MILUON POUND has been invested in new field and facslities for S.B.P.FA
Exhausting workloads and challenges for sure, but what we now have is something to be very pro. ud of.
Tennis and Netball Courts. Cricket Practice Nets. Football field { 8 acres l and Facilities.
Indoor Bowlihg Mat and BowlingGreen drdinage.
New public right of way at Brown Moor field.
All member aubs getti.Dg,4 share of the funding .

WELL DONE AND I THANK EVERYONE FOR RAISING TO THE CHALLENGE.
THE FUTURE AND 2025 KEY OBJECTIVES.
Phase Two facilitres development for Reckondales
L.C.R. Drainage issue.
A start has been made. but Finance is the BIG challenge. and I guess we will need in the region of £30,000 to
get it done.
HELP PLEASE.
We need more sUPPOrt and will be looking for Grant Aid where possible, and my challenge is to ask all our
Club Members to support the P.F.A. By popping in here say on a Wednesday or Saturday night for a drink
when all year round the Bar is open.
Mike will outlirbe tonight our financials and fopward view challenges. and l am mindful our member clubs too
have financial challenges.
Summary.
I close by thanking our Club Manager Kirsty for her hard work and support.
A lot of what Kirsty does with rna1ntenan￿ management. H&5 management etc etc is not seen, as most
people just think she runs the Bar.
She is a senior manager in our managementteam and her operational workload is
Heavyweight.
Well done, Kirsty, we are luckyto have you.
We are a happy and successful association, the envy of many playing fields associations, we ALL work as a
team for mutual benefft, and have ambitron and drive ft)r continues improvement.
l am proud to be your Chaiman,
Thank you,
Bernard.
