This Trustees’ report has been prepared in accordance with the statement of recommended practice (SORP) for small charities as issued by the Charity Commission of England and Wales. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out on page 05 and comply with the applicable laws and Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. ## _**Administrative office**_ The Cassachs, Orleton Lane , Stanford Bridge, Worcestershire, WR6 6SU ## _**Trustees & Committee**_ The Trustees have the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the fundamental aims of the Settlor are satisfied and to ensure that the charity complies with charity law and the requirements of the Charity Commission as regulator; in particular that the charity prepares reports, Annual Returns and accounts as required by law. The day to day running of the charity is managed by the Village Hall Committee, the Committee consists of 10 members who are elected annually at the AGM, the Committee includes a Chairman, Treasurer and a Secretary. The Trustees who have served during the year and up to the date of this report are: Sir Anthony Edward Winnington, Susan Softly and Nabil Jamous. ## _**Independent examiner**_ Mrs Ann Joyce of Cherry Trees, Menith Wood, Worcestershire, WR6 6UG. ## _**Charity’s banker**_ TSB, 46 Teme St, Tenbury Wells WR15 8AA COIF Charities deposit Fund, Senator House, 85 Queen Victoria Street, London, EC4V 4ET. ## _**Objects of the charity**_ The aims being that the charity defined as Stanford with Orleton Village Hall be used in perpetuity as a place of recreation and social intercourse, meetings, lectures and classes with the object of improving the wellbeing of the inhabitants of the Parish and the surrounding district, without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions. The Trustees and the Committee are committed to enabling as many people as possible to access the facilities provided by Stanford with Orleton Village Hall in line governing conveyance, the Charities Act and the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. ## _**Governing document**_ The charity has a constitution. ## _**Financial review**_ Our main source of income is derived from hire charges in letting the hall to regular users, private individuals and companies. Stanford with Orleton Village Hall Trustees’ Report for the year ended 30[th] April 2021 **Notes to the statement of accounts – 30[th] April 2021** ## **1 Accounting policies** The following accounting policies have been used consistently in dealing with items which are considered material in relation to the accounts. ## _1.1 Basis of preparation_ The accounts have been prepared, under the historical cost convention, in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and with applicable accounting standards and the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting and Reporting by Charities (FRS102), using the accruals basis; with the exception noted in 2.3 below, income and expenditure is brought into account in the period to which it relates which is not necessarily the period it is received or paid. ## _1.2 Fund accounting_ The General Fund is unrestricted and is available for use at the discretion of the Trustees and Management Committee in accordance with the charity’s objectives. ## _1.3 Incoming resources_ _I_ ncome is only brought into account when it is received and recorded. ## _1.4 Resources expended_ Expenditure is recognised in the financial statements when there is a legal or constructive obligation to pay for goods or services. -5-
