Treasurer’s Annual report for accounts 1st Jan 2024 – 31 st Dec 2024 

Please see attached spreadsheet showing income and outgoing over the last three years. Our position is much healthier due to: 

- The success of events this year. 

- Reduced energy costs due to change of supplier is likely to support our budgeting. We are applying to the ombudsman for support in reclaiming over - charging by SSE. 

- Successful Awards for All bid: £20,000 paid into account on 20[th] Dec., 2024 for improvements to the building to encourage attendance 

## Audit of accounts: 

Completed by Mr Robert James on the 26[th] January 2025. Signed. 

## Balance of Accounts: 

Parish Room account:         £31,273.15   (includes £20k lottery grant award) 

300 club account:                  £11,303.34 

## £20k Lottery award: 

Will be used for improved accessibility for outside car park and disabled access. Quote is £17,975 for external works. 

Remaining £2025 for internal Parish Room upgrade. Perhaps toilets or heating panels. 

## Available:     £22,576.46 

## Considerations: 

- Interest Free loan (without time-scale for repayment) of £15,000 was made by local resident via his accountant so that works internal insulation, replacement windows, etc.) could be carried out in 2023 before the grant (awarded in 20230 eventually came through. The grant itself could not be used to repay this loan as the lottery requires specific receipts. This meant that the Parish Room had 



considerably more moniey to use, i.e. £10k grant + £15k loan and considerably more has been achieved. However we need to take account of this loan in all our considerations. JBS has contact with the accountant. 

## Further Lottery Bids: 

A further Awards for All application could be made on the anniversary of receipt of this grant, i.e. end December 2025. 

Groups using the hall could make bids at any time for their societies. 

The Parish Council could make an application / bid on behalf of the Parish Room.
