The Maritime Youth Group is a small independent charity. Aims are: To advance skills in the area of education and learning among local residents and surrounding areas and to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for the training and development of young people who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances.

Objects: To Help Young People Fulfil Their Potential To Become A Responsible Adult;to Allow Cadets To Participate In Activities That Enhance Their Knowledge And Skills In An Organised And Disciplined Environment;cadets Will Interact With Their Peers, Participate In Teamwork And Learn Leadership Skills Based On The Traditions And Training Of The Royal Navy;to Provide A Programme That Is Structured, And Designed To Give Them Enjoyment.
