## **Section 2 : Structure, Governance and Management** 

Littleworth Community Association is an Unincorporated Association, governed by its constitution which was created in 1954 and last amended on 7th April 1997. The Management Committee is made up of annually elected Trustees. 

## **Section 3: Objectives and Activities** 

The main aims of the Association are to promote the well-being of the community and foster a community spirit in the neighbourhood 

The main activity is to maintain and manage a community centre for activities promoted by the Association and external hirers of the hall. 



The Trustees have had regard to the gutdance issued by the Charity Commission on public
benefit and are satisfied that all our activities meet this standard.
Key Achievements during the year
Due to Covid pandemic regulations the hall was closed for the majorrty of 2020-2021. The
planned roof refurbishment and subsequent redecoration of the two halls continued with no
disruption to users.
Building work on the new insulated roof ComMen￿d on 4th August 2020 and was
th
completed on 12 October 2020
Decorating work in the large and small halls, committee room and toilets was carried out
between De￿mber 2020 and January 2021
The large hall floor was stripped and resealed by Andy, the caretaker.
New curtains were ordered and hung in the two halls, committee room and the storeroom
in March 2021.
Applications for funding towards the cost of refurbishing the roof were successfully made.
The largest grant was £75,000 from Biffa Award. Other funders were Garfield Weston
Foundation, Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation and the National Lottery. To release
100 % of the Biffa Award funding a £7500 contributing third party payment of 10Yo was
raised from Centre users and local bodies.
The Centre has been equipped with all ne￿SSary items to make it Covid secure and we
now look forward to welcoming back our members. regular groups and one-off hirers as
soon as indoor activities are allowed to resume.
Section 3: Financial Review
Our principal Sour￿ of fundraising is through members. entran￿ fees and hiring fees from other
groups using the Centre. During the pandemic and to counter loss of income from hirers we
have received over £20,000 in business support grants through Stafford Borough Council.
At this point in time the Trustees do not have a reserves policy
