The Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council, acting as the Barr Beacon Trust, maintains a piece of land known as "Barr Beacon" for the purposes of public open space and recreation primarily for the benefit of the local community. The Council, as Trustee, is also responsible for maintaining and keeping in repair, the War Memorial erected on the site.
Objects: The Provision And Maintenance Of An Open Space And Recreation Ground For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of The Urban District Of Aldridge-Brownhills And The Counties Of Stafford And Warwick And Subject Thereto Of Any Other Persons Without Distinction Of Sex, Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions, And In Particular For Use For Such Other Forms Of Recreation And Leisure-Time Occupation Having The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Beneficiaries As The Council Shall From Time To Time Think Fit.
