Abbots Bromley Village Hall Chairman Report 2025.
The past 12 months have been a big improvement on the several previous years. We have finally completed the purchase of the field to the rear of the hall from the Gallimore family in order to secure it for the village as a green open space. We are transitioning to the new format of an executive committee as recommended by the Charity Commission in order to limit our personal liabilities.
Regular use has slightly increased and occasional “party” bookings are returning following a lull after covid.
Due to the purchase of the field our bank account is at a low level though remains just enough to meet the recommended reserve. We now need to keep moving on with fund raising in order to bolster the bank account.
I would like to praise the work of the committee and congratulate them for their commitment and perseverance over the last 12 months. The last 12 months have seen the Hall host 2 of its most successful events, the “Simon and Garfunkel Celebration”, and the “Building Myth Busters” evening.
